Booked 4 beded dorm but actually is 8 bedded dorm as all 8pax go in with the same door just divide by a half wall. There are each toilet at one side but the 8 lockers at all at one side which means u still see all 8pax all the time. Physically is 8 bedded dorm and not 4 bedded dorm. Front reception is helpful but knowledge is not very fruitful but they are trying. The road there now is renovating so is a little messy and noisy. Please note no toilet paper,shower gel,shampoo ,towel are provided. This is the first time I encounter no toilet paper provided. The provided new sheet bed cover for every new guest

There are quite a lot of restaurants in Taoxichuan, including the famous Zhu Guangyu, but many restaurants are not open during the Chinese New Year, so some restaurants will have long queues, so it is better to eat during off-peak hours. If you drive by yourself, it will be more convenient to drive from the back road than from Xinchang Road. The traffic jam on Xinchang Road is serious. If you want to go to the porcelain factory, it is better to take the bus. There is no way to park at the porcelain factory.

Parking not particularly convenient (two options about 100 metres from hotel, one underground) but the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the old town and finding good local restaurants. We chose a 'Garden View Room' which in reality is not really a garden but an area between the window and the road outside decorated with stones and plants, however this was tastefully done and we were not aware of noise from outside. The room itself was large and cosy, we particularly liked the Japanese-style tea drinking area in front of the window. The bed very comfortable and we slept well, we did not try the breakfast. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and really enjoyed visiting Jingdezhen.
