Takayu Onsen Kagetsu Highland Hotel

The staff were all very kind and polite and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The room was clean and the food was delicious.

The room is very spacious, the furniture and decoration are good, and the food for one stay and two meals is rich and delicious. We stayed for three nights, and the styles were different every day. The staff are very polite and attentive. Overall, the experience of staying in this hotel is very good, and it is worth recommending.

About 30 minutes by car from Fukushima Station. There are shuttle buses and local buses. The large public bath and the open-air bath are great. The smell of sulfur is unique and nice. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! The staff were also nice! I'll go again!

The quality of the hot springs at Takayoshi is very good. The water here also has a strong sulfur smell, which makes it feel like a hot spring. Both the open-air bath and the large bath are good, and the view from the open-air bath is amazing. The large bath was very hot, but we couldn't cool it down with water... The open-air bath was just the right temperature and we were able to take a long bath. For dinner, we had a meal that included Fukushima's famous products, and the portions were ample. My friend from Aichi thought that a sulfur hot spring was unusual. They also offer day trip bathing, so next time I'll come by myself to take a bath.

Takayu Onsen is known for its high concentration of sulfur components. Having previously stayed at Manza in Gunma, I was excited to see just how high it was. The hotel is modern and doesn't feel like a hidden hot spring or rundown. This is an area where people's tastes may differ. The hot spring is as you would expect from a famous hot spring, Takayu. The smell of sulfur wafts through the air no matter where you are. The cloudy white water is very romantic and is the ultimate hot spring. It was difficult to get rid of the body odor for a few days after getting out of the bath, but I'm very glad I used it. The only downside is that the open-air bath is small, so it tends to get crowded during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was our first visit as a couple. We found the hot spring to be unusual, with its milky light blue water. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath, but we recommend the open-air bath. The food does not use luxurious ingredients, but it is easy to eat and delicious. I think this is probably the result of the head chef's ingenuity. If we have the opportunity, we would like to visit again. If I could be selfish, I would think it would be great if there was a room with a hot spring attached.
