Hotel New Otani Hakata

Fukuoka|1.16km from Kushida Shrine
Since it is a New Otani brand, I had some expectations, but unfortunately it was crushed. Stayed alone in a twin type with breakfast for business use. The room was large enough and clean and the amenities were substantial. It is undeniable that it is old, but some of the water and closets have been renewed, and the air conditioning was good without any discomfort. However, the bed mattress is cheap, or it is not comfortable to sleep in. I felt that there were more high-quality things that were more particular about the new business hotels in the surrounding area. I was greatly disappointed with that point. The breakfast of Western buffet was very small and I was really disappointed. * The point that you can order the dishes and the taste are generally passing points, but the fact that the variety is too small is surprising and stunned. The staff at the breakfast venue were dull and vacant, but it felt like a flow work. I couldn't feel any dust in the consciousness of carrying the hotel sign on my back. The cleaning staff stopped firmly and greeted each other, but it looked far away and the staff was arrogant and rough and made me feel sick. As for this, I feel that the new business hotels around me are more educated. The front staff 々 seemed busy, but it was crisp and there was no discomfort, but on the other hand, I didn't feel warm. Conclusion, bird, soft, and price are not chosen. I would like to stay again if it is much cheaper, but I am positively pear. Birds cannot be easily improved due to budget problems, but staff education should be as much as possible. When I noticed, I was overtaken by the surrounding competing hotels and the hotels of the rank that were not competing, and such a future is close.

Yamamoto Ryokan

Fukuoka|0.23km from Kushida Shrine
This is my 2nd visit since 2015, and the ryokan still impressed me after all these years. Most of the points I raised in my previous post still valid, so I'll just supplement it from there. This time round, I had an even earlier flight, so I didn't go with their meal option, but even though you book a room without meal, I guess you can request for a breakfast for 525 Yen upon arrival, which I feel is worthwhile. In my opinion, the ryokan location is superb than even Hakata station, at least I don't have to squeeze past the crowd to get to the subway platform. It's just 2 mins walk from Gion subway exit 2 (no lift nor escalator) anyway, and is within short walk from Kushida Shrine and Nakasu-Kawabata Shopping Alley, there are also many eateries across the main street which opens as early as 5am and close after midnight. There is also a convenient store a stone throw away. I actually only met the host once upon checking-in, literally speaking, it's less of a minshuku and really more like a hotel, privacy well preserved. But most of the time, the only 'receptionist' is the owners' dog. LOL! Don't worry, it doesn't bark nor bite. I was allocated a room on level 2, with toilet and washing point just outside, but I needed to proceed downstair for bath. This time round, there are no queue for bath room, and I thought I heard the host went in after I left to clean up the bath room, just so the next one using can have a good bathing experience, even though I consider myself having very good bathing ethics, showering before dipping inside the bath tub. The water in the large bath tub is hot, but user can turn on the running tap to cool it down before bathing. Shampoo, soap, and towel are all provided inside the bathroom. Toothbrushes, if required, can self-obtained from the lobby, along with the many discount coupons and travel brochures. There is also 1 coin laundry available. If anything, take note that lightings are sensor controlled, so do not be alarmed when you brush you teeth half way and then the lights dim off, just shake your body a little bit, and it will be back on. Just like my previous stay, I would love to stay here again if I return to Hakata.

A Great place to stay if you're in Fukuoka for a short visit, or even longer. If the prices remain within a sensible range I will choose to return here. The positives: • location is a short walk from Gion station, Nakasu, Kushida/Shinto shrine, Tochoji Temple and has plenty of resturants in the area to choose from. • the rooms are well cleaned before checkin, the beds are very comfortable (small double beds) and the sheets clean. • Good water pressure and reliable hot running water. • Good quality body wash and shampoo/conditioner • Free coffee available 7am to 8pm, washing facilities onsite and a basic breakfast option offored. • Good soundproofing. The negatives: • 4pm checkin, but this seems normal for Japan. • There is a luggage storage area with some locks provided but I personally dont feel this is very safe should someone choose to act (there are security cameras in public areas covering the luggage storage) • No room cleaning service, an additional 3000Y charge if requested. • The rooms are equiped with tablets for services such as checking out, the cameras should probably have locks/covers provided.

Room is small but tidy and clean. The Japanese breakfast is excellent with wide variety of food. The location is very convenient, just 5mins walk from the JR station Nakasu Kawabata. There are a lot of restaurants, shopping malls around. 24 hours Donki shop is nearby. It takes around 15 mins if walking to Hakata station, and takes 20 mins to walk to Tenjin station where a lot of famous department stores scattering around.

I stayed for 3 nights for a triple sharing room with attached bathroom These are the pros in staying in this hotel 1. The location is superb as it's just 8 minutes walk from Gion station. It's inside the indoor shopping street. 2. Free wifi 3. Slipper is provided to the guest 4. English spoken staff 5. Can drop our luggage at the lobby on the arrival before check in . 6. Towel is provided free. 7. Free coffee. 8. Clean hostel and spacious common area What I think it can be improved further: 1. Pillow is too soft. 2. No lift

The exterior of the hotel is clean and the lobby is also very clean. Check-in and check-out can all be done by yourself, and the hoteliers are very helpful! I used a twin room, and it wasn't too small even with two suitcases spread out. The bathroom is also very clean and has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash haha. The hotel's location was close to Tenjin and close to the bus stop to nearby areas, making it convenient to move around. I went to Itoshima by taking the Showa Bus from the nearby Nakasu stop and it was really nice❤️ I was disappointed to come on the coldest day of the year, but I think this hotel will have more advantages if you come on a warm day. Next time I come to Fukuoka, I plan to book again🎶🎶

Excellent location just a few minutes from Fukuoka’s Gion station- take exit 3 with the elevator and you can get to street level without hassle. Then just walk one block and cross the street. The lobby is on 2nd floor. Check in was simple and quick. Staff were friendly. Can pick up some free coffee and tea sachet to make your own drinks in the room. My double room was a little small though- not much room for opening a big luggage so I put it on the sofa. Bed was comfortable. The toilet and shower were comparatively large, especially the shower and the bathtub. There are many restaurants and coffee shops both toward the Hakata station direction as well as the Nakasu direction. Don’t miss the Kushida Shrine which is to the next block of the hotel. The hotel is fairly new and in very good condition. I would highly recommend this hotel. #hotelsinjapan #hotels #kyushu #fukuoka

Because I want to experience the Zhongzhou house, I feel that this can take the airport line. The traffic is mainly on Saturday night. The hotel is generally expensive. This price is not so expensive, so it is fixed. . This hotel is the most difficult one compared to all the hotels in the itinerary. It is close to the red light district of Zhongzhou and you can see a lively event. It is very close to the Kanda Shrine. It takes about 10-15 minutes to go to the Bodo 15-20 Minutes, the room is relatively small, the double bed size can also be standard 1.4m size here, sleeping two people just right, the hotel is very poorly sounded, but there are not many people who live, and the snoring next door can be heard, however. . In fact, it is similar to a certain domestic economic hotel, because other hotels that live in the country are beyond the domestic one, so it seems that this is relatively low.
