Hotel Fuji Tatsugaoka

The room was a bit small, but generally clean, and the courtyard was beautiful. The outdoor view was absolutely stunning; I even saw Mount Fuji here, which I missed when I stayed at Ubuya. The BBQ was delicious, haha, and the total cost was 600. The service was excellent. It's a ten-minute walk to Fuji-Q Highland, and taxis are a bit hard to come by. The elevator is a bit small, and there were no disposable slippers. Breakfast was delicious.

The staff were really friendly and made my stay very pleasant!

We stayed for a couple of nights. The hotel is very old and desperately needs a major renovation: the hallways are shabby and dirty, the carpet is stained all over, and the elevator is tiny—barely fitting two people. But the rooms themselves are perfectly fine: - Clean and tidy - Clean, white bedding - Sterilized mugs and toilet - Looks neat, even though the room itself is small. The outdoor hot springs are great, moderately hot, and convenient. There are only a few downsides: - No washing machines - A bit far from the train station (about a 15-minute walk) - The duvet didn't have a cover (it was tucked in with a sheet, which easily comes loose and generally isn't very hygienic) - The internet isn't the fastest or most stable - If you get noisy neighbors, it will be unpleasant, as the soundproofing is excellent. - They don't accept luggage if you send it via local transport companies. Overall, the hotel is good if you're staying for just a few days. If you plan to stay in the area for a week or more, I'd recommend looking for another place.
