We've stayed at Sakura last week for 2 nights and we had an amazing time. The owner and his wife are very friendly, always willing to help. They did recommend a trekking trail, drove us to the start of the trail and gave us a map to help us find our way. The trail is really out of beaten tracks, we were alone all the way with beautiful views on Fuji Mountain. The guesthouse has good value set dinner and breakfast with local products. The private onsen is a treat after a day out walking/on the bicycle. The room had a panoramic view on Fuji Mountain.

This lovely hotel (its a bit dated, but everything is clean and very nice) is right on the lake, and very quiet. Its 10 minutes driving distance from the Kawaguchi-Ko bus stand/train station and there is a free hotel shuttle every hour. I would definitely go for rooms with a view - either of the lake, or of Fujisan. We went for rooms with lake view, and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are big and very comfortable, with a desk, an armchair and a sofa. There is also a small balcony, with amazing views of the lake. Its so peaceful, especially in the early morning or during sunset. The hotel is located in a large garden. There is an indoor and lovely outdoor onsen, where you can bath in the warm water whilst seeing bamboo and hearing birds. Breakfast is a good buffet. The restaurant for dinner is rather expensive, so i would recommend eating in one of the few restaurants in the small town.

The environment is very natural and Google Maps positioning is not accurate. There is a branch road after entering the trail, which is more difficult to find after dark. You can use Apple's own map to locate it accurately. It only takes 2 or 3 minutes to walk from the river. The room facilities are great👍. Sister An who greeted us was very warm and thoughtful, and even lent her restaurant to us to enjoy hot pot. Worth visiting again! Thank you, Sister An!

Every time I go to Japan, I stay in a hot spring hotel. In fact, I can try this relatively western-style hotel. This hotel is divided into the main building and the new building. The main building sells nostalgic colors. Basically, the furniture and buried rooms are relatively dilapidated, but it is still considered clean. In terms of the new building, the decoration is obviously more modern than the main building, and it has also set up a lot of different furnishings and decorations. The rooms are also larger, but of course the price is more expensive. The hotel itself serves French meals, and the dinner is a four-course French meal, including appetizers, soup, main courses and desserts. The waitresses will also help you take a picture during the evening meal, and they will take a photo with you The check out day is given to you as a souvenir, and it has a few characteristics. In fact, there is a beach across the road outside the hotel. At night, you will see many people park their cars on the beach, and then stay there for camping and cooking. It feels chill! There is a coffee machine in front of the hotel. It turns out that the coffee machine is provided free of charge for guests to drink. Pure Japanese-style homestay, experience authentic Japanese-style tatami and hot springs. The boss can communicate easily in English. By the lake, but you can't see Mt. Fuji directly.
