Toyoko Inn Fuji Kawaguchiko Ohashi

Toyoko Inn's greatest advantage is the free shuttle bus service between Kawaguchiko Station and the hotel, which makes getting to attractions and back to the hotel super convenient. The rooms are quite small but the price is good. There are two restaurants for breakfast, so there's still a decent selection of food.

The staff were very professional, from the front desk to the shuttle bus drivers, everyone was eager to help. There was some renovation going on during my stay, which slightly affected the view, but it wasn't a major issue. There's a convenience store nearby which was very handy. I was also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji.

The room was cozy and offered great value for money. The hotel shuttle service between Kawaguchiko Station and the hotel was very convenient. The small square at Kawaguchiko JR Station has various bus stops, which is incredibly helpful. Just outside Kawaguchiko JR Station, to your right, stop number 10 is where all the hotel shuttles park. The Toyoko Inn shuttle is blue and has the hotel's name on it, making it easy to spot (other hotels also have their names on their shuttles).

I booked this hotel for my family. You can take a direct hotel shuttle bus from the Mishima Toyoko Inn, and it's very close to Lake Kawaguchiko, and the Ropeway isn't far either. There are food stalls across the street where you can grab dinner. The free breakfast offers various breads, sausages, and even vegetable soup – they don't skimp on anything. The hotel corridors are adorned with paintings of Mount Fuji, and there are self-service lockers available. Whether you can see Mount Fuji from the cable car largely depends on the weather!

The overall experience at this hotel was great. The environment was clean and comfortable, the room was spotless, and the facilities were quite complete. The check-in process was convenient and smooth. The location is easily accessible, and the surrounding amenities are also excellent. What I was most satisfied with was the affordable price; it offers great value for money. To find such accommodations at this price point is really impressive. Overall, my stay was very comfortable, and I would consider staying here again if I have the chance. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Most accommodations around Lake Kawaguchiko are guesthouses, so if you want something more comfortable and convenient, a hotel is a better choice. While nearly 500 a night isn't cheap, it's acceptable given the location and included breakfast. You can catch the hotel shuttle from the parking lot to the right of Kawaguchiko Station. Check-in via the self-service machine was seamless, and you can also store your luggage in the lobby. The room wasn't huge but it was very clean. It's about 1.3 km from Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge, and you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Fuji if you walk there – it's absolutely stunning!

The room was quite small, couldn't even fully open my suitcase, and it would be a squeeze for three people. BUT! The hotel offers a shuttle service, and they provide toiletries (Pola brand) that you can pick up on the first floor. Breakfast wasn't great, just enough to fill you up. There are plenty of dining options nearby, plus a large supermarket and convenience stores, so it's a good area for a stroll.
