My partner and I stayed here one night before we could ferry to Savai'i. Location wise this is great as it's close to the airport as well as the ferry and priced okay for a very short stay. Beautiful view of the water as well, great pool and places to relax outside. Our room and service experience was disappointing however. We stayed in a lagoon view bungalow for 2, this has a detached bathroom - which would be fine except it isn't mentioned that this is "shared". Would suggest this is updated on website to manage other guests expectations as this was a surprise for us. Secondly the shower didn't actually turn on at all, we couldn't use it and after asking about this 3 x times we gave up. The light bulb in the toilet needed replacing again, this was fine for the day but not at night where we used phone lights instead... we were told upon leaving they were waiting for maintenance. We were lucky this was a single night stay. With some more love this would be a great place to stay.

A group of 5 of us stayed at Le Vasa on our way back to NZ after a fishing trip in American Samoa. it was the perfect end to a holiday and a great chance to unwind in paradise. The staff were great, the facilities were great and the rooms were great. i would highly recommend it

I had the pleasure of stay 2 months and half in "Le Vasa Resort". I enjoyed every moment of this time. If you are looking for a real Samoan experience this is the right place. The staff is very friendly, kind and available to help you with whatever needs you could have. The rooms are clean and tidy. Plus on top of that, in a very relaxed atmosphere there is a nice restaurant with fresh and well done food close to a great pool. I highly recommended for your holiday!

Don't know where to start with this review! I organised a family get away and had a great experience emailing back and forth with the team. The resort couldn't have been more accommodating....now I see this was just to secure the booking as NOTHING could have prepared me for the disappointment of our stay. During our stay: 1. My niece and nephew were chased by 4 x dogs that were NOT on leads and my niece ended up getting bitten by one of the dogs....the owner was there and her response "you need to stop screaming".....NO WORD OF A LIE..THAT WAS THE OWNERS RESPONSE!!! This said all while my niece was bleeding and crying. My sister took her to the hospital to get a tetanus shot. The hospital didn't have any antibiotics so we took my niece into the city the following day to purchase it. The owner did not ONCE come around to check on my niece to see how she was doing, she did not offer to reimburse any of the charges. I instead went on the last day to demand a refund for my niece's hospital bill of $36TALA. My niece was to scared to ask for more but at the VERY LEAST the owner should've come to apologise. We actually didn't even see the owner for the remainder of our stay after that! 2. One of the bungalows air-con didn't work and after the second day of it still not working, I went to the front desk to request it be looked at. I was told that the maintenance person would have a look at it same day. I returned the next morning to the same bungalow only to find out that the air-con was switching on and off by itself. Again - returned to the front desk to request maintenance and assured it would be and the next day, still nothing. At this point - pointless as the family members in that room were leaving the next day. 3. In another bungalow where I had another family group staying, one of the wooden planks on the balcony gave way and my brother-in-laws foot went straight through. As a result, he lost one of his shoes as it'd come off and fallen in the water. 4. Our stay with Le Vasa was broken up into two legs as we went across to Savai'i for one night. I had my sister check out for my husband and I on the first leg of our trip (Thurs night) to ensure we weren't charged as we were in the city and their office closes at 10pm and our boat was leaving at 6am in the morning. I was STUNNED to find out that I had additional charges incl. an extra $100TALA for beers that were ORIGINALLY charged to my sisters room but when my sister noted they were not her beers, I was automatically charged it because I was the primary on the booking. We returned back to Le Vasa on Sat and I headed straight to the front desk to dispute the charge (I need to point out that having spoken to our group, everyone confirmed they were charging drinks to their own room on the night in question). I was shown the receipts and there were receipts with my husband's signature, my signature and then a random signature. The front desk told me that they would ask the a

We recently stayed in an ocean view bungalow with five adults and we found that the rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and ate there every night. We found the staff to be friendly and hard working. We spent many hours relaxing in the fales by the water and enjoyed having drinks delivered to us by the bar staff! We also enjoyed having a nighttime dip in the pool. The location is beautiful - always something to see with boats passing by. The resort is also close to the wharf and the airport. We will definitely stay here again!

Very friendly service. Nice, simple- and clean. The pool area was spacious and central. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner menu did not have a huge variety of options but the food was well prepared and tasted great. Will be back for sure!

This resort has clearly faced some challenges and is in the process of improvement. I understand that the past few years have been tough for the industry, but the gap between what's advertised on their website and the reality is disappointing. The landscaping is beautiful in the centre of the resort, but the overall condition of the resort is run-down. While they are renovating some rooms, it doesn't justify the high costs. I've stayed in much nicer hostels in Asia for a fraction of the price. The staff is friendly and doing their best under the circumstances. The restaurant is decent, but the staff lacks proper equipment and training. Most of the cocktails we ordered were undrinkable, and some of the food seemed reheated. However, the staff were open to feedback. The amenities are lacking. The pool looks nice, but everything else seems non-functional. The water toys are in poor condition, and some are broken. There are puddles everywhere, and we got bitten by insects a lot. More than anywhere else on our journey. The monument on the property is in disrepair, and there are no signs explaining its significance. The initial room we received was highly disappointing. The deck was rotten, and it was located next to a junked-out boat and car. The shower facility was minimal, with just a showerhead and a flimsy half-attached curtain offering no privacy. It was very small and cramped, with some windows that couldn't close. It didn't match the pictures on the website. When we asked for a new room, we were offered an upgrade for the remaining 2/3 nights, which was understandable. However, the upgraded room was more like a two-star hotel. Everything at the resort is significantly more expensive. Basic items like water and canned drinks cost much more than at local shops (5x more). I'm also unsure about the resort's claim to be eco-friendly, as there was no recycling, and it seemed to run on diesel-generated power. Overall, it seems like management needs to address these issues. Calling this a luxury resort is misleading. While I wish them the best, it simply wasn't worth the cost. Perhaps with lower expectations, lower prices, and a more accurate website representation, our stay would have been more satisfactory.

Le Vasa was amazing! The location is convenient, and the scenery is beautiful. It provides an authentic experience of Samoa whilst still achieving customer service catering to foreigners. The cocktail list at the bar was extensive and impressive, the dinner menu was delicious - best food we had on our trip. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Spent most of our time in the pool area which was well equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, and even a large hammock which was awesome. Would definitely go back!

Just stayed a couple of nights before catching the ferry to Savaii. Arrived late on the first night but staff were very accommodating & let us order something for dinner. Lagoon room was ok but could do with a bit of maintenance to the ranch slider. Tropical breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly, professional & very attentive, even helped me get my phone going there so we could get news on the pending arrival of our grandson. Overall we were happy with our stay
