The Kendall Inn

Great place to stay for Bowdoin Family Weekend in the fall and Bowdoin Graduation ‍ in the spring. Highly recommend the hospitality of Stephanie and Keith and family!

Always our first choice for lodging in Freeport for a getaway. Stephanie and Keith and Matt do a superb job keeping us comfortable and well fed! We appreciate plugging in our EV for an overnight charge…and always fun playing a game of pool

Lovely Inn with updated interiors. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were varied and tasty. We enjoyed the pool table in the game room.

One of the best experiences I’ve had while staying in Maine! The Kendall Inn was more than fantastic. You genuinely feel cared about here, and the inn keepers are beyond kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for a place to stay in or around Freeport, definitely stay here! (Not to mention the food is absolutely amazing!)

We enjoyed three nights at The Kendall Inn in January 2026. Stephanie and Keith and Matthew truly understand hospitality. Attention to detail, responsiveness - everything was perfect. Stephanie's breakfasts are spectacular. Best granola I've ever enjoyed and she makes it herself. Baked pears on a cold morning as the first of three breakfast courses. I could do on and on about her breakfasts. The Inn is immaculate. The water is hot and with excellent pressure. Temperature is easily controlled in your room. The bed was so comfortable. The Kendall Inn is a special place hosted by charming people. We look forward to returning.

My surgeon requires that his patients stay within a 30 minute drive for the first 24 hours after surgery. I chose Kendall Inn because it was on the way home and was reputed to have a good breakfast. I didn’t know what to expect after surgery and was being overly optimistic thinking stairs to my room wouldn’t be a problem. I couldn’t carry even the small bag of things without help so the owners carried it for me. Then I soon realized that going up and down the stairs every 20 minutes to get fresh ice wasn’t going to work. The owners brought me a cooler full of ice that lasted until morning. The owners made gluten free cookies and a tasty gluten free breakfast in the morning. This would be a nice place for a family or a group because it has multiple gathering rooms downstairs that are well appointed for hanging out with family and friends. It is a short drive to downtown and convenient to the highway.

Stephanie and Keith have created a wonderful home away from home. The food is wonderful. The place is so comfortable. They are both very kind and helpful. I always hate to leave!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Warm and welcoming atmosphere accentuated by the Inn keepers lovely personality and hospitality.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts made us feel at home. The evening chocolate chip cookies with milk were a great treat! The breakfast was excellent and the location was great. Thank you for having us. We look forward to visiting again soon.
