The hotel is just off the Loch Ness. You can see the scenery of Loch Ness from the window and cross the road to the Loch Ness Cruise Terminal. It’s just that we arrived late and the cruise has closed. Although the check-in was a little problem and it took a long time, the final solution was satisfactory.

Located in Fort Augustus, Morag's Lodge - Hostel is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Clansman Centre and Allt na Criche. This upscale hostel is 16.8 mi (27.1 km) from Urquhart Castle and 5.7 mi (9.2 km) from Suidhe Viewpoint.Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access and tour/ticket assistance. Additional features at this hostel include a vending machine and bike storage.Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM for a fee.Featured amenities include complimentary wired internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. This is what the Trip Advisor site says: “Loch Ness Lodge is an elegant and intimate retreat - a luxury B&B - in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, which brings together the very best of traditional Scottish architecture and contemporary design. With seven sumptuous, individually designed bedrooms, elegant reception rooms, a spa and therapy area and access to some of Scotland's most stunning scenery, Loch Ness Lodge has everything you could need for an unforgettable break.” Unfortunately, it’s not quite true. Although a lovely B&B, it does not have a spa or therapy rooms nor does it have everything you need for an unforgettable break. If you are an American and think you are getting 5 star lodge, you will be disappointed as were we. It has none of the amenities we are accustomed to at a 5 star facility based on US standards. It is indeed a lovely Bed and Breakfast with superb service. When the manager realized we were disappointed he offered a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was very generous. The staff goes over and above to make guests feel welcome. We appreciated that. The room had a great view of the Loch Ness and was comfortably appointed. Other than breakfast, there are no meals served here. You can request a charcuterie plate in advance. For lunch or dinner you must walk down a hill to a nearby restaurant (The Clansman). Otherwise, you have to get a taxi into Inverness (about 20 minutes). The hill makes it unadvisable for people with mobility issues. Overall, if you are interested in an upscale B&B you will appreciate Loch Ness Lodge and its wonderfully hospitable staff.

The accommodation is a loft on the top floor, newly renovated, I like it very much. Although it is small, it does not affect the accommodation at all. The small drawback is that luggage needs to be climbed up stairs, but fortunately it is not very high 😂.

En route home from having a great 2 night stay at Foyers House, hosts Louise and Terry were very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area and beyond. We stayed in the Tarff room which was very comfortable and exceptionally clean throughout, the view of the Loch from the window was stunning. We had breakfast and evening meal on both days, which were outstanding! Couldn't fault quality or presentation. Had a great night with the other guests in The Wee Dram which is located inside the house. If your a Whiskey lover you could not be disappointed as there are over 200 whiskeys to choose from. Most definitely will return to this hidden little Gem. Only one downfall the Internet connection in the Foyers area was poor. Mike & ,Jay Manchester 😊

Located five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.

I stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights while taking my trip round Scotland, and what a great experience we had the food was amazing and the staff too, had such a great time talking to the young boy behind the bar telling us all about the different whiskies. all the team members are offciant and helpful and really take on the responsibility of making what this little gem is all about, i would 100% recommend the stay for anyone. the room we had was amazing and the bed so comfortable with a lock view

The hotel has sent it in advance before check-in. The relevant check-in instructions are very smooth. The room type is very good. The only fly in the ointment is that there will be some noise from the canal sluice opposite the hotel, but after closing the window, it is basically inaudible.  The gas station behind the hotel is parking, which is also very convenient, but you have to park across the street, but it is free and suitable for self-driving friends.

We spent 2 weeks in Scotland and London and the family agreed The Loch Ness Inn was our favorite hotel and our favorite breakfast. Nice rooms, fantastic food. It's about 10 minute walk a grocery and 20 minutes to 'town'. The Urquhart Castle Ruins is a pleasant walk (just under 2 miles) over a small hill and there's a beautiful park to walk through as well.
