Foshan Marriott Hotel

The hotel is quite new, with a lovely atmosphere and well-equipped rooms, making for a very comfortable stay. Tina at the front desk was incredibly helpful and provided excellent service! 👍

My stay at the Marriott Hotel Thousand Lantern Lake was fantastic! The facilities are new and the decor is very well thought out. The breakfast selection was extensive and varied, offering plenty of choices. The service was also excellent; when I made a request, the staff responded incredibly quickly. Plus, since there weren't many guests checking in that day, Shirley Lin at the front desk kindly upgraded us to a room with a balcony – huge thanks to her! However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. First, it would be great to have a tissue box on the nightstand next to the bed. In my room, the only tissue box was in the bathroom by the sink, which was quite inconvenient if you needed tissues in the middle of the night. Second, it would be helpful to add an ashtray with sand on each floor. Today, I saw a guest smoking who had to put out their cigarette on the floor because the elevator arrived and they couldn't find anywhere else to extinguish it, and going back to their room would mean missing the elevator. I think this is something that could definitely be added. Overall, the Marriott Hotel Thousand Lantern Lake is definitely worth staying at! 😋

The service was terrible, especially the skinny girl at the front desk. She was very aggressive and showed no customer service awareness at all. For this price, there are many better options. Don't waste your money just to be treated poorly. There was a constant low-frequency humming noise in the room, and the floorboards creaked loudly with every step. I don't recommend this place if you value quietness. Getting takeout was also very inconvenient. I couldn't get any rest and definitely won't be staying here again.

The mattress was just the right firmness, allowing me to quickly relax and recharge after a busy day. In the evening, housekeeping proactively provided turndown service and thoughtfully placed drinking water, which was a really heartwarming detail. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with a good balance of Chinese and Western options. The freshly made noodles were delicious, and the dining environment was quiet and tidy. The public gym was well-equipped, perfect for a quick workout anytime. The location was convenient for getting around, suitable for both business meetings and a short shopping trip. Marriott's consistently high quality always makes every stay incredibly reassuring. It's my top choice for business travel, and I will continue to choose them for future trips.

The hotel's location is quite far from the lively areas of Foshan, so if you're visiting Foshan, I strongly advise against staying here. The front desk staff seemed to be in a bad mood during check-in. When I asked about the value-added services listed on Ctrip, she impatiently dismissed them as 'other people's junk ads' that 'guests generally don't participate in.' The room facilities were okay after check-in, but the soundproofing was poor. The guests upstairs were running around in their room at 2 AM, so I didn't get a good night's sleep. My main complaint is about the breakfast – it was terrible, truly unappetizing. Hotel management, please go and taste it yourselves. They claimed it was open until 10:30 AM, but when I went down at 9:40 AM, there was practically nothing left to eat. No bread or pastries, just a few plain bread rolls. No meat dishes, and for the noodle station, there were only some vegetable leaves left and no meat sauce. The steamed buns only had vegetable filling, and the cold vegetarian dishes had no salt at all. This was the worst breakfast I've ever had in a five-star hotel! When I asked the chef in the restaurant, they said they would replenish it soon, but nothing came by the time I left. For the beef brisket noodles, only radish was left. I asked the chef for a sparerib steamed rice, and they said it was all gone.

Dinner was included, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was luxurious, and the facilities were excellent. I'll definitely come again! 👍

Stayed here to watch the Jiudiao Dragon Boat Race. The hotel was quite good. You have to request to open the balcony. You can see a partial view of Qiandeng Lake from the side. Breakfast was decent, but it felt a bit overwhelmed when there were a lot of people. Overall, it was pretty good.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the service attitude is great. The guest rooms are clean and hygienic, with a simple yet elegant design and good lighting. It's quiet inside, not noisy at all. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and all the facilities are well-maintained. The overall environment is warm and pleasant, making it a very suitable place for travel and accommodation.

The entire process of arranging for them to be mailed back was handled with such gentle care and attention to detail. They proactively provided the tracking number – the whole experience was efficient and responsible. The housekeeping staff is meticulous and responsible; they didn't miss or discard any personal belongings. The hotel's overall service is truly top-notch. The room's cleanliness and facilities also maintained Marriott's consistently high standards. This experience of getting my lost items back has made me trust this hotel immensely. Their service is warm, caring, and reliable. I will definitely choose them again for my next trip, highly recommended!
