Nevis Bank Inn

We had a friendly welcome in reception and found our rooms spotless, very well equipped and pleasant. They were not particularly big, but were singles and had all that was needed, The (double) beds in particular were very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and provided an excellent choice. Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful. For anyone with mobility issues, there is no lift but I believe help was available with luggage if requested. The rooms had walk-in showers.

We stayed here for one night as part of our Scottish road trip for my wife's birthday and what a great place this is. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly hosts who were so helpful and had loads of great local knowledge. Also great to note all Covid precautions were being followed straight from the off in terms of masks/distancing. We were in the Great Glen suite and what an excellent room this is. Large, modern and very well appointed, it has all the facilities you need as well as personal touches like chocolates by the bedside and a Birthday gift for my wife! Always a really nice touch. The high point of the room is the spacious balcony complete with chairs and table where you can sit out and take in the spectacular views of the mountains. We were lucky to enjoy some mild weather so took full advantage of this. Breakfast the next morning was included. This was a continental option including loads of tasty local produce including eggs laid by their own hens and some delicious ham and cheese. Top marks on an excellent breakfast it really set us up well for the day ahead! JJ the host took time to chat to us over breakfast and we were surprised to hear the business is ten years old (I think?) as everything looks absolutely brand new and like it just opened yesterday. Put all of this together with the bargain price we enjoyed for a mid-week stay and I really can't recommend this place enough. If you're thinking of staying get it booked now, and thanks again to the hosts for providing such a great experience for my Wife's birthday trip!

Parking is convenient and free, suitable for self-driving tour. Breakfast is OK, it is a traditional English breakfast. The room is not old, but it is still clean. It is still acceptable for one night, and there is a big supermarket next to it. Cost-effective

Stayed at this hotel when we had a trip to Scotland,Our train was cancelled and i was worried we would miss the reception which closed at 11 o clock at night.I rang the hotel in a panic but was reassured if i was late it would be fine, luckily we got there before 11 and were even able to get a drink even though the bar was about to close.Breakfast the next morning was lovely and there was plenty of choice.bedroom was a good size and had a spectacular view of the lake.Would highly recommend this hotel and its location to the railway station.

We stayed in room 2. very clean and comfortable. Twin beds, ensuite small bathroom but shower was quite roomy and excellent water pressure. Lovely toiletries and towels. we did not utilize the lounge but it appeared very nice and accommodating. we made coffee and light breakfast in dining area which is well equipped. The dining room had bins for your personal food items which where labeled with your room number. Toaster, hot water for tea, instant or press coffee( there were two presses for use). Also fridge for cold storage and labels provided to identify your food. We also noticed an additional fridge where folks left some stables for others to use if desired. We left a jar of peanut butter and jam and some press coffee as we were heading home by air the following day. You can also label these items so others know they are for sharing. We are just about 70 years old and found this place to be welcoming, safe and wonderful. Would stay again without hesitation. Most of all the midge screens were awesome and the only accommodation over the 9 days we were in various parts of Scotland that had them. They allows you to get some fresh air in room without getting bit up.

Let's talk about it first, 1) The location is better, right on the main street. 2) The beds look sanitary. There are also bad: 1) The bathroom is not small, but the facilities are extremely mini. The washbasin is only about ten centimeters, there is almost no hand under the faucet, and you cannot wash your face. The shower uses a curtain. 2) The front desk is directly shared with the restaurant front desk on the first floor, which is very crowded. Other aspects are quite satisfactory, such as breakfast.
