We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The staff were very helpful answering questions and giving directions. The room was very clean large. We had a 1 bedroom which was perfect for us and our 17yr old daughter. The only thing we missed was having someone come get trash and give new linens. Due to covid you put trash and get linens in the morning. The location is perfect for great escape it is a 10 min walk which is perfect so you don't pay parking. Their is a great icecream shop across the street, go carts up the street and restaurants. The trolley gets you at the bottom of driveway. We used the indoor pool and hot tub every night. Great stay

I have visited this hotel 9 times since 2019. It’s my go-to Lake George place. It’s impeccably clean, luxurious, and I always book a room that’s “Lake View, Balcony.” I can’t tell you how much I enjoy sitting out on the balcony for hours every afternoon, just watching the lake. I visit 2-3 times each summer. I’ve also visited the restaurant (Charlie’s) for breakfast multiple mornings. I have gotten to know Michele (who does the coffees) and Mary who is a server. Always so friendly—and they’ve remembered me each visit. I also remember their daughters working! I love that it’s such a charming and intimate environment! Anne was our friendly server at dinner! This most recent trip, in September 2022, I struck up a conversation with Becca, the manager at the front desk. She remembered me for the rest of trip, called me when the room was ready, and greeted me by name the many countless hours she was working, whenever I walked past the front desk. She was so excited FOR us that we were having a great time. I felt so comfortable—more excited, really—stopping at the front desk to show our pictures from the boat trip that day. ALL the front desk staff went above and beyond in being concerned not just for our stay but for having a happy trip at Lake George in general and that has ALWAYS been our experience there. The staff happily remember you even a year in between! And of course basic needs/requests like “I don’t need housekeeping but can we get more towels, etc.” were always met with friendliness and promptness—total ease. I love that the Marriott app lets you do this and then the front desk chats back with you! I feel special when I visit because I am remembered. That’s part of the culture not only among the staff at the hotel but among the people at Lake George. So, while it’s managed with the professionalism of all Marriott properties in my experience, it’s really the individuals here who make the experience something I feel loyal to. AND the lake views are really unbeatable!

We checked in on July 1st, 2023. Miss Katie ( or Kadie) checked us in - and long story short , she is the only reason I am giving this place 1 star because it’s all about the experience, even though the rooms are decent and the location was not a surprise. The staff quality influences whether your experience will be stellar or horrible. For us, it was the latter. We had booked 2 rooms. Even though we came at 4 , we were given one room because the other one ,opposite to this room was being cleaned. So we waited. And waited. until 5:45. No updates inspite of repeated calls to check in. No apologies for the delay with check in. When my husband went down, he was asked to check out another room on another floor , which he called me to check. I did that and then I took the keys from him and went to the front desk to hand those back since I wanted both rooms on the same floor since we were traveling with kids and seniors. First, inspite of me waiting patiently in line for my turn, and explaining the problem, she asked me to step aside to check in the next guest. I let that go and waited. Then, when the person after me was checked in , I repeated the issue and asked her to give us 2 rooms on the same floor , does not matter which floor it is. She then proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions - if I had touched anything in the other room (no) , if we had sat on the bed (no) , if we had sat on the sofa (no!). I told her we opened the door looked at it and stepped out. She then told me she did not “ need my frustration and attitude”and that she had already given us a room. THAT ticked me off. I told her firmly that I was not being disrespectful and I was her customer and no, we did not have the 2 rooms that we booked , only one. And that I was willing to wait another hour for the other room in front of us that was being cleaned. She asked me to step aside again to check in the next customer. I asked her if there is a possibility of getting the other room that we were initially told that we would get. She said no. I asked her then what was the point then of asking me if we had touched anything in the room if there was no intention of letting us change it and what was the point of asking me to wait again if she had no intention of helping. It was obvious to me that she was acting out. I asked to speak to her manager or someone else but she refused to call anyone and said they had no one but her (!). She then refused to give me her full name saying she did not have to do so and told me that the room I had , was it. So there we go - that is the quality of people Hilton lets represent their brand. You can be disrespectful to a customer with no repercussions. Will make sure to take my money to Marriott properties going forward.

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of a vacation. Highlights of the hotel include the friendly staff, the availability of an indoor pool and comfy beds. The breakfast was included but calling it a ”hot” breakfast is probably a bit misleading - you can microwave some frozen sandwiches. The pool was reasonably warm although somewhat worryingly hazy. Sleep inns do have some quirks which include very small rooms and stall showers instead of baths (which could be an issue for families with small children). The main issue with this hotel is that is in a very ”tired” state. Some examples include loose fixtures, worn furniture (our desk chair was in a permanent fixed recline and the finishes were worn off of the handles). I never had concerns about cleanliness or safety so in sum, if you need a place to sleep and can score a decent deal (say ~100 bucks a night) it serves as a reasonable stopover hotel.
