Dimora Palanca

Dimora Palanca is a treasure!! This is one of the loveliest hotels we have ever stayed in on our world travels. It felt a tad risky seeing as at the time I booked there were hardly any reviews, but wow did it pay off going with my gut. First of all, it's an absolutely gorgeous hotel, but it feels more like you're staying in someone's luxurious home. The rooms are stunning yet so comfortable. But just as equally important and the reason our stay was so perfect was the staff. A huge shout-out to Stephania and Samuel. Stephania was at the front desk almost our entire visit and she is incredible. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable and ALWAYS went out of her way to see to anything and everything we needed. She made us feel like it was her home (in the best and most professional way!!) and that she wanted to make sure we were happy and taken care of at all times. Samuel was also wonderful, he was in the restaurant/breakfast room and always greeted us with such warmth and kindness, and like Stephania, made us feel so welcome and at home. Pro's: - Bed is comfortable and has the most incredible linen sheets, it was heavenly - We had a gorgeous room overlooking the back courtyard and so wonderful to have the windows open, the weather was so lovely. There's a bit of traffic noise from the street, but once the windows are shut you hear NOTHING. Con's: - I hate to put anything here, but I will say, I do wish there had been space for toiletries and such in the bathroom, there's only one tiny one next to the sink, it would have been so nice to have had more shelves in there to put things. I had to store a lot of my bathroom items in the closet across from the bathroom, which isn't ideal.

The hotel is more directed to students of long season. The rooms are functional, good bathroom, epoxy floor, air conditioning is stopped at 26°C, it is not possible to change. The refrigerator is fitted with 4 small bottles of water. Very clean, coffee is not worth the good location, but it has nothing near, residential area

Location - convenient distance to visit the old city and the largest attractions of Florence. The area is quiet and quiet. Before the hotel there were many free public paid parking spaces. Cleanness The room was cleaned quite well, but the equipment, walls and floors are not long-changed/renovated. Support The reception was open when we arrived at about 14, but at night and at night there was no one. There is only information with the phone number with the message to contact in emergency cases. Comforts. Air conditioning is very poor - we were just in the heat and it turned out that the air conditioning in our room is ineffective. After the announcement we received another room where the climate worked better, however, we still failed to cool the room to low temperatures. In the second room, the shower looked like a small sailing boat (before the toilet muscle itself, so you could take a shower on the seating ...).

Stayed at YellowSquare Florence for 2 nights and had a fun time! Hostel was very social and had activities every day! We arrived before check-in and luggage storage was free which was different among many other hostels we stayed in. Staff was super nice and remembered me by name! There was a rooftop pool which was super fun and clean, so definitely bring a swimsuit if you’re coming during the warmer months! Rooms and showers were clean and spacious and not too far of a walk from city center. Definitely recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay and were made to feel really at home.  The host was very attentive and could not have been more helpful.  Because of the Covid we had to have breakfast in our room but the host brought fresh coffee every morning.  The room is big and airy with a lovely clean bathroom that has everything you could need, shower cap, shower fresh etc.  The location is close to the train station and only a few minutes from Tram 1 which is every 5 minutes and takes you into the center of town for only 1.50euro.  would really recommend the ”Leonardo da Vinci Interactive museum”, really interesting and fascinating for both children and adults!   Florence is about 1 hour from Pisa which is worth a days trip. But Ladies watch your bag in Florence as I had mine dipped, they only got a purse of change but it did upset me and left me feeling very shaky :-(
