Queen's Inn by the River

All in all the hotel is good but the microwave plate doesn't rotate, the lid of coffee maker is hard to close.the signage of hotel is too small to see.

Comfy, clean, room, with a super king sized bed. Had a nice patio area to watch the birds, and only a short walk from the scenic river. Lovely welcoming cat who showed us around ! About 25 mins drive to the southern Yosemite entrance and the sequoia grove which was lovely.

I booked my stay after finding this motel on Trip Advisor. My wife and I arrived in late afternoon after traveling for hours only to find the place deserted. Nothing was open, no wine bar, no beer garden, no restaurant and no one working there. There was a note on the office door telling us to let ourselves in. We decided to not stay and we checked in the a brand new Marriott right up the street for a much lower price and it included breakfast. I did send an email to the motel telling them that my wife and I chose not to stay since the amenities we were expecting were not open. After traveling for hours we just wanted to relax and have dinner at the property I received an email back saying that they would not refund my money because I should have read the fine print on their deceiving website. When I read the fine print it said hours might vary for the restaurant and to call for specifics. Why advertise on the home page you have a wine bar, a beer garden and a restaurant when they are only open for limited days of the week? And what’s crazy, is that I did call before our trip to ask about the weather conditions expected during our stay and no one ever answered the phone. My recommendation is to stay away from this place. They are not friendly and they certainly do not know how to run a business

A few improvements could make this a good hotel. It has a great location and a lot of potential but... No active reception to either welcome or thank you. Clients wandering about looking for check in. Bedrooms spacious but beds too short. Restaurant not good. If the beer had been as cold as the vegetables it would have been an improvement. Plastic cups for water with those prices? No way.

Great place to stay. Proximity to Yosemite national park and Bass lake.The staff are very Friendly, if they are not at the office, there is always someone to help at the Idle Hour Winery at the entrance of the Hotel. Don't miss the Saturday night live music. Cabins were comfortable. Access to the hotel is easy from the Main Street.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff was welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and super friendly. We loved staying in the cabin which made it a more unique and outdoor experience, with all the comforts you would need. The restaurant on site is absolutely superb and delicious, and the wine bar, is very cozy and cute, which is just above the river. It was a truly unique and lovely stay and we would love to come back one day.

We had plenty of room in our room but what made this location are the grounds. It' like staying in a small park. Lots of trees and the river made for a relaxing stay. My wife loves to record and identify birds and Queen's Inn outdoor area was perfect for that. Staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed the one night and I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy their outdoor areas.

Pluses: we were in room 6; decor was lovely and charming, bright spacious bathroom with good pressure and hot water, keurig, microwave, fridge, close parking, friendly staff at checkin, easy chair though it is very sagging, nice deck with table and chairs. At night from here it is dark enough for good star viewing. Minuses: included breakfast is a few chocolate chip cookies, bed is agonizingly loud (maybe broken springs?) and sagging, and a lot of light coming in all night through the blinds from the parking lot. (A sleep mask solved this for me)

Staying at the Queen's Inn was the perfect place for a nostalgia tour of our former hometown. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the private porch. Each evening we sat there watching the day fade and the stars come out. So quiet and dark. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Idle Hour kitchen, eclectic food, wine and friendly service. We felt like family. It was a delight to find such a welcoming place.
