Hotels with Breakfast in Festus

I have literally stayed in every hotel in this city hotel in the last 4 years. I held off renting at the Holiday Inn because of price. I’d like to say that the customer service and available amenities are well worth any extra money you pay. They still serve breakfast and the gym and pool are both still open for use. There is a coffee bar available which I enjoy. They take safety serious with gloves and sanitizer available for guest use. The breakfast is served cafeteria-style. I recently got an eye roll at the La Quinta Inn just for asking about coffee. The customer service at this facility was incredible. Change provided for laundry without sending me to the game room change machine that you knew was broke (Quality Inn). The rooms at the Holiday are large with all the perks you could want in a hotel. Fresh plentiful towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in dispensers. We really enjoyed our stay here and I have found my new home away from home. 5 stars for night employees. Zero stars for the cleanliness of rooms. First of all I must say the employees on night shift were very nice and accommodating. We got checked in late this night, headed to our room and then… Here’s room #1: Filth, Filth, Filth. The bathroom had not been cleaned. Floor was nasty and gritty. Bath tub was obviously not cleaned with numerous hairs in it. The toilet stopped up and had to get a plunger to unstop. The sheets were stained and also included someone’s hair in them. Carpet was disgusting. We called the front desk and they moved us across the hall to another room Here’s room #2: all of the above for room #1 and 100 times worse. I’m not sure those sheets had been cleaned in a week. Sure the bathtub and toilet had not been cleaned in at least month or several months with all the visible stains that go into bathtubs and toilets. I called the manager up to see with her own eyes. I explained I wasn’t trying to be rude but just look at this mess that we paid $115 for one night. I asked her would she sit on that toilet, bathe in that nasty bathtub or sleep in those beds with the nasty sheets with more stains and more hair. She said absolutely not!!! The carpet was so nasty it was pretty much black. I’m not sure she was aware of how bad things were on this 3rd floor but she seemed very shocked. She was very nice and apologized over and over. I was ready to check out and find another place to stay at 11pm that night and get our money back. She suggested trying another floor. So I thought what the heck maybe 3 is a charm. Moved to the 2nd floor…. Here’s room #3: sooooo much better. Clean enough to make us want to stay. Could even smell the bleach in the bathroom. So we decided to stay instead of dragging our luggage around in the middle of the night to find another hotel. The manager was very nice and accommodating. She even refunded the room that night so our stay was on them. I will say they are currently in the middle of doing some major remodeling. I’m sure things will be better soon. The outside was nice just didn’t match the inside at all.

These guys were great I was moving from Minnesota to Florida I've been driving for quite a few hours needed a place to stay didn't have a reservation here stopped in asked if they had some rooms available which they did they were very accommodating very nice and very helpful staff and prices were pretty good
