We arrived with our children (6 and 4), coming from another place where we had a not so positive experience. Luckily, the choice to come to Riad Alassala made everything better. Immediately, we were welcomed by Zineb, such a lovely lady, helpful and caring. She helped us directly find a taxi to go and pick up our stuff in the other place, and made us feel welcome from minute one. Then, I asked if we could have a quiet room (for the children), and immediately there was response to this. The Riad itself is beautiful, well kept and super located! The view from the terrace is stunning. I would recommend this place to everybody.

We stayed with two friends, I can not describe this place in words, in its Riad it is a dream, its infrastructure is beautiful, it is modern and at the same time classic Moroccan. The rooms are modern, clean, and well cared for. Without a doubt, the place is beautiful, but for me the most valuable thing about that place are the people who work there. Simon is without a doubt a jewel in that place, his service went above and beyond all the time, super friendly, his service is impeccable. What would make me return to this place without a doubt is the service we received. We were in another Riad, it was a good service, but I think the one we received in Brayan was much better. Simon and his, another colleague of his whose name I don't remember, were excellent. Thank you very much for being so attentive and I hope to see you in the future.

The hotel is relatively old, the lights inside are very dim, I am not used to it, there is always a gloomy feeling living inside, but the location is good except for the view, it is on the other side of the ancient city of Medina, away from the seminary, notorious The infamous leather factory is a few hundred meters away, but the road to the ancient city of Fez must not overestimate your ability. It is best to find a guide, otherwise you will definitely get lost. The breakfast at the hotel is pretty good. Although there are fewer varieties, there are a lot of pastries and full of fresh orange juice and coffee.

We stayed on a Moroccan tour. It was in a residential area on the outskirts of the new town, and it seemed that there was nothing to go out and see around. I haven't been out because I arrived late at night, but when I checked on the map, it seems that there is a big shopping center on the north side, but it seems far to walk. Enter the entrance of the hotel and you will be greeted by a luxurious Moroccan interior. There is an old wooden door in front like a old mansion brought from it, and the back is a restaurant. I used this restaurant at night and in the morning because it was a tour, but the food was buffet style and there was no particularly delicious food. I got the impression that the tables were lined up in a row, so I was cramped. There was a small souvenir shop in the elevator hall on the first floor, but there is nothing to see in particular. The room had two small single beds, so there was no particular problem to spend one night. The bathroom and hot water came out properly and it was comfortable.

The hotel is OK - located centrally, not too far from the bazaar. The hotel folks are nice and help you with everything - breakfast is good and they will accommodate your needs. Rooms are OK. The price seems a bit high for the quality of the place. The only two issues we had (a) they clean the room before you arrive, but do not check the AC, so it was an elaborate process to fix it. But they did fix it eventually - note to hotel staff, please check AC before arrival, as Morocco can be hot. (b) We had to pay by cash even though we were told earlier CC is an option (their CC machine was not working). Again, a heads up would have been good, so I could have drawn money earlier. But other than these two hiccups, which did come with a lot of sincere apologies from the hotel staff, the stay was pleasant. Staff were very courteous in general.

The hotel's proximity to the Blue Gate, just a quick 10-minute taxi ride away, made exploring the enchanting attractions of Fes, such as the leather dying factory, serene sanctuaries, and vibrant markets, a breeze. Although the winter weather prevented me from enjoying the swimming pool, I was captivated by the picturesque garden view and the relaxing ambiance of the balcony. The room itself was spacious and provided ample comfort for two people. Overall, Hotel Volubilis provided a convenient, comfortable, and visually pleasing experience, making my stay in Fes truly memorable.
