When we opened the balcony door, we could sit on the small swing and enjoy the river view at night. It was so comfortable! It took 3-5 minutes to walk to the Liwan parking lot. The housekeeper Xiaotian and his brother came to the parking lot to pick us up and dropped us off at the parking lot when we left. You can choose your own breakfast the day before, and it will be delivered to the room at the agreed time the next morning. The special steamed rice, rice noodles, milk, eggs, cakes and fruits are all very good! I also gave a local specialty ginger candy as a gift when I left the store, thank you!

The hotel is modern and minimalist. Style, clean environment, great! The mattress is very comfortable (I don't like very soft ones, otherwise my back will be sore when I wake up the next day). The comfort level of this one is just right. Checked in on the 2nd and 6th. It was hail and snowy weather in Hunan starting from the 3rd. It was very cold. I am very afraid of the cold. The room was fully heated. I slept well all night and slept until dawn. The location of the hotel is also super easy to find. It is right next to Nanhuali KFC. It's less than 3 meters away, and it only takes 3 minutes to enter the ancient city from the hotel. The hotel's girl, Xiaoyu, is really considerate. After talking on the phone, she came to pick us up (Thank you so much for such a cold day). She was very gentle in her words. I was looking for a long for the best place for me to stay in Fenghuang. And I discovered the perfect one on Trip.com. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. Thé hôtel is in a little more quiet and authentic place of the city, along the river. I was supposed to travel alone and I took a small room, but with outside bathtub on the top floor. Then my friend told me he wanted to join me. I was a little lazy to upgrade, but on arrival, the hotel was not that busy, because of low season and we were upgraded to a vey nice suite, on fourth floor, with living room, bedroom and a huge terrace with river view and bathtub. What a pleasure to take a bath at night outside… The breakfast was good and full, Chinese style. The cleanliness was perfect. I stayed three wonderful nights there. Reading outside on the sofa, early morning, watching the slow boats on the river…fridge, space, amenities, nothing missing… I really recommend this high standard place, little away from noisy city at night, and little romantic walk to reach along the quiet riverside. Unforgettable stay.

Great view, comfortable bed, large terrace are all highlights. The hostess is a lovely woman who is accommodating to requests. A car was arranged, no charge, to bring us to the hotel from the train station. We were also given a small gift of local delicacies when we checked out. We were especially thankful when we were allowed to shorten our booking because it was very noisy our first night. The noise was largely because of one group of guests who were yelling on their balcony until 3:30am. The hostess was very apologetic about the noise the next day. Though perhaps the hotel should consider a curfew to improve the noise levels. Perhaps a curfew of 11pm like the bars. The second night was much better and we had some regrets about not staying longer. The main area of improvement, other than a curfew, is the cleaning. We were given a pillow that was very dirty and it was quite disconcerting when we discovered it the next day because it had been hidden by the pillow cover. Also, you could not hang the towel over the shower because the top of the rail, which is not visible, was covered in a heavy layer of dirt. Given the grease like texture, this had not been cleaned for a very long time. There was also some noticeable dust. One other thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk to the hotel from the street. This is the same for any of the hotels along the water, but it is worth noting. Heavy luggage will be difficult to carry. Overall, a great stay with a couple of areas for the hotel to improve.

The hotel is very close to the bridge just walk 5 mins. Good location to walk around the ancient city and along the river. The service is superb. You need to contact hotel in advance as they need to meet you at the parking lot and bring you the hotel. The breakfast is at the restaurant nearby (local chinese style). The noodle soup is very delicious. Special thanks to Xiao Hong and Ar Ming for very nice hospitality. As there is no Didi in Fenghuang, they helped us to book the car to the airport and made sure that we arrived at the airport safely. Although they speak very limit English, we can communicate with WeChat. The ancient city view at night is very beautiful but also very crowded with people dressed in the ancient costume and taking pictures everywhere. It was difficult to walk and enjoy the night view as it is a bit noisy because of the people and music from bars along the river. Day time is more peaceful to walk around.
