Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hot Springs Fenghuang

Highly recommend this hotel! For anyone visiting Fenghuang, I'd say this is the top choice. The room environment was excellent, and since it was the off-season, the front desk even upgraded my room. The hotel is located on a hill, with a small path (about an 8-10 minute walk down a series of steps) that leads directly to the downstream section of the Tuojiang River in the ancient town (near Yun Bridge). From there, you can stroll upstream to Hong Bridge, which takes about 30-40 minutes. Honestly, I find the Hong Bridge area a bit too bustling with lots of tour groups; the downstream area is much more tranquil and relaxed. Getting back to the hotel from Hong Bridge by taxi is also convenient and only costs 10 yuan. The breakfast spread was ample. Plus, the hotel offers a high-speed rail drop-off service, which is super convenient if you book in advance (make sure to reserve ahead of time, as it's a minibus that also needs space for luggage, so capacity isn't huge). I also tried out the hotel's hot spring. Since it was the off-season, there were very few people, so I practically had a whole pool to myself. The hot spring area is quite large; some sections weren't open, and I didn't even explore it all. The hot spring center thoughtfully provided ginger tea and fruit. My room also had a bathtub. It's been rainy and humid in Fenghuang lately, and I needed to take medicinal baths every night. The cleaning staff even kindly provided disposable bathtub liners. All in all, everything was very satisfying, though the bedside outlet was a little hard to plug things into. If I get the chance to visit Fenghuang again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

The room was spotless, the hotel is grand, and the environment is very quiet. Special shoutout to the massage therapist, their service was incredibly warm and thorough—truly five-star! Highly recommend them. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

Traveling with five people, including seniors and children, we stayed at this hotel and were extremely satisfied! From the moment we got off the train, taxi drivers kept trying to recommend other hotels, claiming this one was too far and hard to get to. In reality, there's a small path directly from the hotel into the ancient town, which is incredibly convenient – much more so than those budget hotels or guesthouses. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful. The front desk attendant even gave the kids a small toy that he paid for himself. One evening, when we were all heading to the ancient town, it started raining, and the hotel manager even arranged a car to take us to Wubridge, even though I had only booked a basic room. The hotel's buffet dinner had unlimited fresh crayfish, and the lamb chops were delicious! The small pastries were also excellent! There were only a few tables dining at dinner, but they certainly didn't cut corners. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the train station in a business van, which was perfect for our group of five, otherwise we would have needed two taxis. It's a free service (remember to call ahead to book). The housekeeping auntie was also very kind and always smiling when she brought us things. The young staff clearing plates at the buffet were very diligent, and the tables were always spotless. All in all, for this price, service, and dining standard, this is definitely the number one choice in Fenghuang Ancient Town – unparalleled. I arrived with high expectations, but the experience was truly disappointing. I chose this room type because I was drawn in by the hotel's advertising, but it was actually worse than a standard hotel room. First off, the room was tiny, with very little space to move around. It came with two chairs, which I'd consider purely decorative as they were completely impractical to sit on and awkwardly placed. Since the room was so small, I couldn't even move them. The best spot to enjoy the view was actually sitting on the bed, which is just unacceptable. After checking in, we received complimentary fruit, but I'm not sure if it was ever checked, because when we opened it, it was spoiled. When I brought this up to the front desk, their response was quite interesting: they immediately offered to replace it with a larger fruit platter. The shower in the room also had no water pressure, and the hairdryer was very weak and kept cutting out after a short while. We checked in quite late, and by the time I washed my hair, it was even later. To dry my hair, I had to keep blowing it, then it would cut out, I'd wait fifteen minutes, then try again. This went on for over an hour until my hair finally dried. I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.

This is definitely the best hotel in Fenghuang! Our room was upgraded to a very spacious one with a fantastic view and a large, bright, and airy balcony. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and most importantly, the front desk service was incredibly warm and helpful. The butler service was also excellent, fulfilling all our requests.

The room was very comfortable, and we got a free upgrade. It was clean and tidy. Even though it's on a hill, it was really quiet, perfect for resting. Plus, we got free access to the forest hot springs, which was fantastic! The free breakfast buffet every morning was also delicious! Really great! We'll definitely come back.

Fantastic hotel! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the bed is super big. The decor is luxurious. The hotel car can take you to the high-speed rail station. The front desk manager was very nice; they quickly helped us find our child's doll and clothes that we'd left behind. The service is truly excellent! They even helped us mail the items. This stay at Wyndham Fenghuang really delivered on both quality and service.
