Finca Hotel Rural Es Turo

Very pretty hotel with character. Very secluded from most things so perfect if you wish to enjoy your peace. Not so much if you are the type who enjoys going to different places in different regions unless you rent a car. Although our experience wasn't so terrible, we found the staff to be quite cunning in terms of organising taxis for us and delivering standard room service. When we tried to cancel a taxi, they tried to convince us we couldn't do so. We had to call the driver ourselves and he simply said "Yes, ok"; to us cancelling. When we tried to cancel via the staff, their argument was, "It's already booked so you can't cancel". We aren't sure if they didn't want to lose their commission with the taxi or something. However, they didn't make it easy for us to cancel within good time as we thought they would have. Additionally, the second we got there, they tried to cheat us into getting a hotel room which wasn't matching the one we thought we had booked based on the pics online. My friend had to INSIST they give us the more spacious room as that is the one she had booked for after looking at the pics online. If you have been to Mallorca before and know the place and customs well, this hotel might be ok. If you (like my friend and I) have never been and most likely need everything to be easily accessible and everyone as helpful as can be, don't go to this hotel.

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely 3 night stay here! We initially booked into the villas owned by the same people a few KM away, but when we went to check in we liked the hotel so much we asked if they had any spare rooms. They managed to get our booking switched over with no hassle whatsoever. The hotel was amazing, the rooms was lovely, the pool area was a dream and the staff were lovely. We ate in the hotel 3 times (lunch and dinner), and also ate in their restaurant in Ses Salines one evening too, couldn't recommend it enough. The food in the hotel and restaurant were amazing, and the decor/setting of the restaurant is lovely too. We will definitely be returning!

We booked a 4 night stay here through ******* / **********. The information on the website said the room accommodates 4 people so we booked for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children). All told, this review has two parts, the issues we experienced and what the hotel did about them. Both are important and I’d argue the later may be even more important. Upon arrival, everything was lovely. The staff greeted us with a warm welcome (including a welcome drink) and the property was beautiful. But during check in, we were told we would have to pay 35€ extra per night for an extra guest. Strange, since we even showed the staff the email confirmation from the third party showing 4 people. We were then taken to our room which was near the main restaurant / bar area (in the section of the numbers 7,8,9 cluster of rooms). The floors were creaky but we didn’t think anything of it. We quickly changed and got ready to go hang out in the beautiful pool area. The pool area is truly beautiful. Amazing views, large pool, plenty of area to lounge, and a bar. We spent the afternoon here and it was truly lovely. Our kids had a blast. Upon returning to our room, we had no hot water. Our kids were showering and dripping wet when we discovered this fact. We informed the staff and the manager (a bearded younger man) told us he would come check it out. He came in (our kids still screaming bloody murder and wet!) and sure enough it was not fixed. He advised it would work in 30 minutes and told us we could shower in the spa. I take the kids there (no real privacy as people are walking around and there’s no real place to leave towels or clothes other than the gym). I also showered there and my partner opted to wait. We then left to get dinner (we’re gone a couple of hours). Upon return I ask he gentlemen if water is hot now and he says yes. So my partner hops in the shower and…..NO HOT WATER!!! 3 hours after the issue is identified. I’m livid and I go and tell the same manager lead that this is ridiculous and I ask for a manager - he disagrees and said it happens when multiple people shower at the same time. He tells me he’s the highest ranking person and there is no one else to ask for help. Anyways, I ask him what he can do to make it right and he says he can comp our breakfast for the family for the entire stay and that he will speak with the owner about an additional discount. I thought that was nice enough so I go back to the room and we all go to bed. My partner did not want to trek across the property in the dark to shower or pack up all our things and change rooms at night. Now I’d normally say this experience was the worst and that would be a bad review. But being in the service industry, I know things go wrong and I actually thing hoteliers can show their true colors AFTER a mistake. An absolutely beautiful finca, stunning views let down by maintenance. We were put a 200m drive away from the hotel, the 1 bed studio apartment was not maintained, bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom window came off the hinges when I opened it, rusty shower door and the fridge freezer was iced up. We paid for dinner included. When we arrived at the restaurant we asked what was included, the waiter told us everything and took our wine order. When he came back he then said it's only a salad and then cod. So we asked if we could have a salad followed by pasta. He said that was OK. My carvinara was inedible, and I eat everything! The garlic prawn pasta was OK. Breakfast the next day was slow. E asked for bacon and eggs and tea. It took 20 mins to get a cup of tea and 40 for the eggs and bacon. I'm sure mid-season this is an amazing hotel, but what was supposed to be a lovely surprise for my hisbands birthday turned into an expensive disappointment.

Very nice and cozy. Two hotel buildings. If you come with family i would recommend the lower one that also have a pool. The hotel offers bicycles for their guest. 2 nice pools. The mail pool is very nice. The food and service make the overall experience less good. I would give the food a weak 3 and the hotell and location a srong 4.

We found Es Turo by chance and made a very last minute booking. We arrived at 10pm and lovely Natalia welcomed us and invited us to have dinner just before last orders. She offered us an upgrade and took us to the beautiful ground floor suite which is a 2 minute drive or short walk away from the main building and has its own pool and day beds. The room was stunning with an incredibly comfortable bed. My daughter slept well on the sofa bed. We loved the design, the space and the peace. Breakfast was fantastic with an amazing view. The staff really looked after us and we can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Natalia and your colleagues for a very special and relaxing stay.

2 days before our arrival the hotel es turo contacted us to tell us that our reservation was overbooked and that they could not accommodate us. We were not offered a refund but either to change the date, which was impossible given that the date booked was the last of our stay in Mallorca, or to stay in one of their other "hotels". Without other option, we accepted this proposal on the condition that the services were equivalent. What a surprise to discover that we had been moved to an apartment hotel without the services we had paid for in our initial booking (spa, bar or even just something to buy water in order to avoid being obliged to drink the disgusting tap water). Worse still, we were refused a refund for the significant price delta between the hotel we had paid for and the one we were finally put up in.

While this property has some charm and a nice pool, the emphasis seems more on design and providing influencers with Instagram moments than a real experience. The staff, while friendly, was not particularly attentive or helpful with requests. I always felt like I was imposing on them when I wanted to order things at the restaurant. And the dinner was subpar - my food was so bland (spaghetti with shrimp, a tomato and mozzarella salad) that I actually tested myself for Covid because I was worried I’d lost my sense of taste. I guess if you want to pose for cute pool photos, it might be worth the price? But for me it was a waste and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nice rural hotel in Mallorca, comfortable and with plenty of outdoor activities available. The hotel is well maintained in general, rooms are very clean, spacious and well equipped (some of them have private outdoor jacuzzis). Staff is very kind, speak English fluently. A small spa is available with indoor, heated pool and sauna. Breakfasts are awesome, even though food in general is average and expensive.
