Excellence Oyster Bay - Adults Only - All-Inclusive

Absolutely amazing stay at Excellence Oyster Bay. The room we stayed in was massive with a hot tub and relaxing area. The beach and pool area was fantastic with tons of chairs and spaces to relax. We were told the facility was about sold out, but it did not feel packed or overwhelming. Service during dinner and during the day was incredible. The food also exceeded expectations (lobster at Lobster House, food at Spice, and the breakfast buffet). The only downside was the desserts at the restaurants and room service were not as good as the main food.

LIKES: the friendly staff and the amenities the resort offered. DISLIKES: cost of transportation to and from the airport provided by resort.

Staff was very hospitable hotel was beautiful, great location. Would recommend to family and hope to be back soon!

I loved this resort and the plunge pool room. The ocean view was amazing and able to be seen from the bed. Best view to wake up too. The food at all the restaurants were delicious so many options. The lobster dinner was absolutely delicious.

My husband & I just returned & overall it was a wonderful stay. The grounds are well kept and the facilities are beautiful. The food was very good at the restaurants we were able to try. There are wait times since most don't take reservations & not all of the restaurants are open daily. With that being said, they really should take reservations. We made it work but saw other vacationers who were very visibly upset by these wait times. My recommendation is to get the app, probably before arrival, and check out the times and days restaurants are open so you can plan from there. Also, what we did was casually map out our day and one of us went down to the restaurant of our choice and put our name on the list so you're not waiting around. There are some other minor service level improvements like in the beach area. There were often no clean towels in the beach area and my husband was once told by a staff member to walk down to the other end of the beach to find one. Wrong answer. And, although there are bins available to place used towels many visitors often leave their towels on the lounge chairs so you're unsure if chairs are available or not. Sometimes the used towel bins overflowed as well. There should just be more attention paid to the beach area in general. The entertainment also needs some work. The shows are great but end early so your "entertainment" options after 10 are karaoke or sitting at the bar. An after-hours lounge with a DJ would be great esp on Fri & Sat.

Our experience at Excellence was truly delightful. From the warm greetings and courteous assistance throughout the resort to the exceptional service at Spice with our amazing server, Samoy, and the daily welcomes from Raquel, the concierge, our stay was nothing short of wonderful. While the pool staff seemed a bit slower compared to the efficient service in the restaurants, the overall atmosphere was fantastic. Special mentions to Rohna and Shontol for their outstanding contributions. The beauty and cleanliness of the property are captivating, and the heated pools were a significant plus. A heartfelt recommendation for Excellence – an experience you won't want to end. Kudos to the entire staff for their accommodation of our dietary restrictions and the thoughtful post-meal check-ins via phone.

They decided to paint our balcony during our stay and trashed the patio deck with paint drippings and flacks from scraping which made the deck and pool unusable the last two days. That was complete BS!

The actual resort itself was spectacular. I can't talk enough about how nice the suite was. We had an ocean front king suite in the excellence club. The service was very attentive and friendly. Alrick (sp?) headed up the night entertainment and really went the extra mile to keep everyone involved and engaged. The Jamaican style food (pool hut, restaurant, and buffet) was good. The only criticism I have is about the activity schedule. I think there could be more engaging activities that brings people together and engages the guests could exist during the day time.

The Air Conditioning in the room did not seem to work well. The light sensor in the closet was broken and the light turned on and off all hours of the night and day. The in room Hot Tub drain never fully closed so it slowly drained with use. Also the Safe would not lock. That said, in general the trip was very very good. Michael the bar tender at the Blue Bar (poolside) was amazing, as was most of the staff with an honorable mention to the Chef who went by Dwayne or King Flavor. I would recommend this place, just know you might need maintaince.
