Pet Friendly Hotels in Fairfield

In the world of corporate travel, you rapidly discover that hotels are essentially exactly the same. Rooms are very similar between properties, no matter who the owner or the parent company is. In the end, it boils down to customer service and the “little things” (amenities) that will make a traveler pick one property over another. While this property has continually had clean rooms that are in good condition, and an outstanding customer service team… recently they are starting to make changes that are affecting the travelers in a negative fashion. One in particular was discovered this morning… For the first time ever, I have found a Staybridge that you have to pay to do laundry now. $8.00 per load. This past Monday, it was free. It has always been a hallmark of the Staybridge properties that they had complementary laundry facilities for their guests. Apparently, that policy is no longer in place. I spoke with the front desk; this decision was apparently made at a regional manager level… There is nothing they can do about it. She seemed pretty helpless regarding the entire situation. I will be asking IHG about this… My understanding was that it was their policy to keep laundry facilities complementary in a Staybridge hotel. (The website even states this…) Apparently there is a disconnect between corporate and the local manager; and someone needs to verify their information before making wholesale changes. As for me, I guess it’s time to go look for a laundromat instead of relying on the hotel to correct this issue. It’s disappointing… I’ve been very happy with this property otherwise.

The hotel is clean and tidy, the room is not bad, there is a laundry room, gym, complete facilities! The location is excellent, there are various restaurants going out, there is a big bookstore next to it!

This place is very nice,clean and staff very accommodating. I went to get a snack late night at the lobby nobody was down there but I left $ for my snack and my room,thought that was odd but besides that it's a nice place.

The hotel is just below the highway, and the back is not too noisy. It seems to be under construction, and it is very dusty. Easy parking, not far from a McDonald's, crowded people can't get in. Breakfast is provided with bread, fruit and coffee, and you can get it back for yourself. This was the worst hotel we stayed in for half a month during our trip to the United States.

The first room we got the TV was not working. We were given another room and the shower was not draining. Maintenance tried twice and was unable to correct the issue. We asked if there was any possible way we could stay one more night and they were unable to accommodate us. The property was clean, the room was very large and comfortable. There was lots of space to walk our dogs. The pool was being fixed. The staff was all very nice and apologetic for being unable to correct the drain issue. We were given points for our inconveniences.

The room was very small barely able to walk around the double bed. No food was available only coffee and hot tea and a few sodas. The website said pet allowed, did not say there is a weight limit of 12 pounds. This was a major problem for me. Grounds need better ****ing by parking area.
