It’s a good hotel for business trip with available parking on site, with available breakfast dinner. Conference room is available if needed, location is a little bit remote but in walking distance to town centre so it shouldn’t be a problem if you want to have a meal in downtown

The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. The calm roof level is to be seen again, as soon as no one passes through the corridor the vibrations of his steps resonate in the room, we could also follow the conversation of one of the mitoyan rooms. The ceiling of the bathroom is wet and the paint is scattered into the shower, which does not give a good impression when in hygiene, good point there were 2 wallpapers available. The bed is of a relatively low range comfort that grins at the least movement. For the drinks offered with the boiler I was surprised to have milk out for 1 month!

We were pleasantly surprised with the refurb which is a massive improvement. A lot less impressed with the service. Staff were nice but there weren't enough of them to manage reception, the bar and the food. It took forever to get our dinner, the vegetarian pizza we was indeed vegetarian (not vegan as I'd been told) and only the beer and water were cold. Even in Ireland we wouldn't be served warm rosé wine with ice, and the days of warm cider with ice are thankfully long gone. Could do a lot better. Three stars for that (otherwise it was quite ok).

I found Kyriad direct Jews, by chance, following a booking that I did not do myself. The reception, the room are the exact copy of what was found in Campanile, but less well. The reception is minimalist with service panels, which certainly mark the professional limits of the marketing manager who designed them. The rooms are simple, correct, without a night table. The bathroom is also correct, and without a wc box. The room numbers are placed on the ground, for some rooms. The outer washrooms are not fixed but silent. We made the mistake of arriving on a Sunday, thinking that as it had a bar and restaurant that they would be open. They weren't. I can only think that the three star rating for this place is due to the fact that they have such facilities. Pity they're closed at weekends. We had to drive a few miles to go to dinner on the town. We had to ring a phone number to be let in on arrival, which is not very welcoming. The hotel is in the middle of a tatty industrial park, and we did worry about parking our car there, but it was intact in the morning. We had a kettle in the room, but no cups or tea or coffee. The Receptionist provided cardboard cups etc upon request. The room was OK, basic, but we didn't pay a fortune to stay here. It was clean. Breakfast was a shambles. The Receptionist and a colleague were setting tables, but it turned out that they were setting them for dinner. As we went to sit down, staff removed placemats etc. Simple verbal communication would have been useful, there was no attempt to speak to us in French or English to explain what was happening. We managed to get the last couple of croissants and pieces of bread before they ran out at 8.30. Otherwise we would have had to manage with fruit, yogurts and ham. We did hear some people quite rightly grumbling about it. Upon departure, no-one asked us whether we'd had a pleasant stay, or even wished us ”bon voyage”. A man merely took our key from us with a ”merci”. Bottom line is, that I wouldn't stay here again. There is plenty of choice closer to Evreux.
