I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. First, I really enjoy the concept of taking old motels and converting them. Sometimes though, it feels like some paint was thrown on and not much more. Trailborn executes this concept perfectly. Everything is new and nice. We really enjoyed the cork floor - the floor felt clean even with slush and salt. The staff really set the stay apart - everyone I engaged with was genuinely excited about the hotel and eager to make it a good experience. We enjoyed making s’mores by the big fire pit, and the breakfast burritos and included espresso in the morning was such a great touch. The value was fantastic - the pet fee was minimal and parking was included. Also, great location. An easy, scenic walk on the river walk and you are in town, and across the road is a great trail the dogs loved. Our only tips would be a mat by the front door for shoes (it snowed a ton) and maybe a few hooks on the wall for coats and leashes. Well done, Trailborn! We will be back!

Trailborn just reopened in December 2023 after being completely renovated. The outside looks like a motor lodge, but the interior is very contemporary and chic. Our stay got off to a great start, as the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They made us feel so welcome. Our room was comfortable and incredibly clean. I especially like the flooring, as there is no carpet. While this means that the floors are chilly in winter—bring both warm socks and slippers—it also means the room is that much cleaner. There was a small couch and table, window seating, and an area with mini fridge, kettle, and coffee and teabags. I look forward to the restaurant opening next month. In the meantime, though, we were invited to order breakfast—for free—from a local restaurant. It was delivered, and we had the choice of eating in the lobby or having it delivered to our room. The dining area in the lobby is so beautiful, full of light, that we ate there. We live about an hour from Estes Park, so we didn't need help with planning activities, but the hotel even offers to arrange a number of experiences that are conveniently described in a brochure. This will be my new go-to place when I want to stay in Estes!

10 minutes from the park and walking distance to town, Trailborn Rocky Mountains was a great hub for my mountains getaway. Friendly staff, comfy bed, and fun lobby energy all contributed to a great stay.

Came for a long weekend with my husband. Our room was clean with thoughtful and fun touches. Cooler to use for the day, cute lantern, fun Bluetooth radio and a mini fridge. The bed was so comfy. All of the staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Especially Allison, Emily and Russ. Lobby is welcoming with a very nice curation of books. The cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning were a nice treat. Location is within walking distance to downtown and the lake. We were so pleased with our stay we already booked a weekend this summer. Highly recommend this hotel. It did not disappoint.

Stayed at Trailborn for a night on my way to Breckenridge and it was a perfect location just off the main *****. Friendly staff and great facilities, really enjoyed the communal room and Hot Cocoa and Smore's around the fireplace as the Sun was setting. Rooms seemed recently remodeled, and beds were super comfortable. Would definitely recommend as a stay for hikers and people wanting to explore Estes.

Wow! This place is wonderful! Newly opened in December of 23, we are some of the first guests at this hotel. It has been nothing short of amazing. The staff here is top notch, the lobby area is beautifully decorated with a nice fire place, coffee bar and even s’mores at night around a huge fire pit. We booked on a whim and so glad we did. They have a restaurant opening very soon (early February) which looks delicious but in the meantime, they provide a free breakfast from a local restaurant and deliver it straight to you! Again, above and beyond! I honestly cannot wait to come back to Estes and book here again! I know this place will do great and continue to add improvements as it grows! If you see any bad reviews, please note this place used to be a little pay by the hour motel but has been transformed into one of the top places to stay in Estes! Keep up the good work!

Facility was newly renovated and they did a great job. It's in the start up phase and you might expect a few glitches but we failed to notice any. Nice location as you can walk to town and the Estes Park Visitor Center. Only time will tell if they can continue to offer great service as they start filling up the facility

Traveled to Estes Park for a few days before Christmas. The hotel had a beautiful open lobby with a large fire place warming the cold day and large windows that provided great views of the mountains directly in front of the hotel. S’mores offered in the evening by the fire pit. Restaurant had not opened yet but the upcoming menu looked appetizing. Guest room was very comfortable; large pillows, soft sheets, thick bath towels, and quality bath products in the shower. Window in room offered window bench style seating to be able to enjoy the Mountain View outside. Location walkable to the town for shopping and coffee.
