A hotel directly in the vicinity of the station. Short paths to the city. Simple but useful equipment. Very clean. Also to the bathroom no negative comments. Breakfast, in a nice room, was very sufficient. Wurst/Cheese, salad, yoghurt, bread, bread, rice/egg, sauce, beans, marmelade, butter, coffee machine, tea, juices. I found this very varied with a large selection. The staff at the reception at check-in very nice and friendly. The lady in the breakfast service is very eager. Washing tables, cleaning wallet, everything quiet and fast. Was just one night here. When I have to do there again I'll pick this hotel again.

The hotel is close to the train station, the transportation is very convenient, the room is very clean and the facilities are complete.

Having stayed for several days and nights at McDreams Essen, I can say our stay was very pleasant. We found the hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and the staff were more than helpful. What we did miss was an electrical point in the basement where people that have disabilities can charge the batteries in their wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Other than that our stay was extremely pleasant and the location was central to all amenities including public transport. Thank for you courtesy and helping us in the time we spent in Essen. The hotel is quiet, super for walks, shopping opportunities, the rhythm and some restaurants are walking away. The owner Arndt is supernice, everything went out completely uncomplicated, competent and friendly. We weren't going to have much about Christmas, so there was no breakfast service, but we were still allowed to use the kitchen and breakfast room, not of course, thank you very much. Since we booked several rooms for the family, it was of course a good way to sit together. The rooms are clean, everything you need. Price performance top.

Das Essen war hier wohl grandios. Es schmeckte uns ganz gewaltig. Es war ein Hammer, die ganze Sache. Die Zimmer waren ebenfalls so gut, Ich will ihn auch nicht. Deswegen schicke ich ihn Dir. Wenn Du ihn nicht willst, mach’s wie ich und schicke ihn weiter man es gar nicht glauben konnte.

Wow. What a trip that was to the Essen Spiel convention. And what an excellent hotel we have had the luck of booking a room into. Everything was top notch. We were given a room on the second floor, right across the elevator, in room 226. That was indeed super convenient, since for soundproofing, the windows were always shut, and I'm a smoker, so it made my outside trip to the smoking area easy. Everything in the room was where it should be. Plenty of sockets to plug our electronics in, a desk to put our convention stuff on and make our plans for the following day. Water pressure was spot on in the shower, all-in-one soap was naturally provided in a dispenser and filled daily. Room cleaning was done super meticulously in the morning and the cleaning people were nice and attentive when we happened to stumble upon them. All the staff we ran across were super nice and kind, even though we were always bugging them with annoying and trivial matters. The evening shift at the bar and reception really tried their best to satisfy our bothering demands. Hats off to them for putting up with us. I feel that we may have indeed tested their patience's limits. Despite all our best - or worst - but unintended in honesty - efforts to piss them off, they didn't even lose their smile. Great job, everyone! The cherry on top was the hotel's decision to open up a big room full of tables and chairs for the Spiel attendees to pass the night once the exhibition day was over. Really thoughtful and it's one of those small details that win people over. I'm looking forward to returning to the convention next year, and I'm sure I will be booking a room in this hotel alongside my plane and convention tickets. Keep it up, GHOTEL!

Business travel for Euroshop. Liked my stay and did not feel as formal as a hotel. Breakfast was good, warm breakfast was ok but got boring after the 3rd day. Staff helpful. I will go back to this hotel. Taxis and trains close to hotel. Rooms clean and bedding nice white linen. Good experience

Prima location to explore food - Folkwang Museum, Rü Excursions and the city centre in runway, and other destinations well with the outdoors. Practical: Parking for 14 Euros/day directly at the house. Rooms OK, maybe a little bit of hip effort, but this can be age-related taste matter. Extra points for the supernet, superfix, super engaged team at reception!
