Robinson Esquinzo Playa - All Inclusive

Our stay was very comfortable. Ther food was very good and the entertainment was fun. My wife and I enjoyed the water aerobics class, the beach, and we did the Adult Sauna daily. We mostly enjoyed to time (at 1815) when the person did the scented oils on the heat and used a towel and a huge fan to move the air around the sauna. Very refreshing. We let our bodies absorb the fragrances after. We truly enjoyed the experience. Just a thought: rent a car for a day or two and go see the island: the Popcorn Beach was beautiful; the town of Campo Calma (8 miles away) was very beautiful and relaxing.

I've had an amazing stay in Robinson Esquinzo Playa. One of the best hotels I've ever visited! ❤ The hotel is placed quite high and it offers you breathtaking ocean views. Right at the hotel exit there is a charming path that leads you to the beach. The beach is gorgeous, it's very wide and not so crowded. It takes maybe 10min to go down there, the way is pleasant and again, views are stunning. What is more, likely you will see canarian squirrels on the way. Facilities of the hotel are great: it has 2 swimming pools (one of them is heated), many sunbeds in different places, beautiful private daybeds that you can book, billard table, there is also fitness center, spa and tenis courts. Rooms are clean. All over the hotel there are many big palm trees and other plants, which makes the hotel look even better. The variety and quality of the food is surprisingly good! The restaurant is pretty big. There is lots of things to choose, even the most picky guests should be satisfied. For breakfast there are freshly squized juices and shakes which I loved. I enjoyed most of the food but especially amazingly cooked meat and variety of fruit and deserts. Even in a snackbar the food is delicious. The bar offers extraordinary options of beverages, including non-alcoholic ones. This hotel is fantastic both for families with children and for adults alone. Kids will not be bored, there is a pool with water slides, kids club run by good entertainers, even gymnastics and swimming classes for kids. At the same time, there is not loud in the hotel. You can always find places to relax where is completely quiet and calm. I was there during Christmas time and the New Year. The hotel prepared special decorations, food and drinks, firework show and even a music band live! Another thing that is worth mentioning is hotel staff. People working there are lovely, very well-organised, kind and hardworking. Starting from reception and restaurant workers, ending with housekeeping and entertainment team. There is an amphitheatre where there is a show twice a week. People taking part in the performance are often the same ones who are doing different jobs during the day. They're still finding time and energy to do rehearsals and practice choreographies, which is absolutely impressive. I've watched these dance shows with pleasure! Also the hotel is located in the southern part of Fuerteventura, where all of the most beautiful places of the island are. I totally recommend this place, I could come back here one day and hopefully I will

A truly wonderful private resort. The team of staff were extremely helpful and very courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is superb with the beautiful beach accessible via a short 5 min walk. The grounds are stunning with beautifully kept flowers and trees. The views from our hotel room was simply gorgeous. The various pools are exceptionally with choice for all kinds of water activities. The food was of a very high quality and plenty of choice each day. The entertainment was great, although mainly in the German language. Everywhere in the resort is clean and possesses a unique charm. We will definitely come back again!!

The Robinson Club is nice, but unfortunately, the watersports offerings have deteriorated. The head of the base is unfriendly and lazy. Ultimately, his focus is on preserving his equipment and selling courses to the guests. He doesn’t let guests who know how to handle the equipment go out on the water as soon as there’s a bit of wind. For us, this was a dealbreaker. Even complaining to the club management didn’t help. So, the only option left is to look for a base outside the club. We went to the Rene Egli Windsurf Center—top service, super friendly staff. It feels like the people working at the Robinson Club’s watersports base are the ones nobody else would hire.

The rooms have been due for refurbishment for a long time. But you know that when you book this place. You spend most of your time outside, so the rooms are not that important. Still they should have been refurbished 10 years ago and they are decaying more and more. Not even mentioning the ants crawling around everywhere… We have been here 4 times in the last 6 years. And what always made it for us was the food, the kids entertainment and the sport activities which always have been top class. Unfortunately, with the new management this has all gone bad: - Food: what used to be sashimi as the dinner special is now pita bread with beetroot from the can. They are just saving everywhere be it food, drinks. It is all just cheap now - Kids entertainment: our youngest son, who is 4 years old, was left alone for 1.5 hours in the „Roby Club“ because personnel was unexperienced and did not communicate - Sports: the cycling bikes are 20+ years old. Spinning classes become very difficult despite good instructors because the hardware is beyond repair For us, despite having been here 4 times, we will never go again. Defintetly not worth the money. There is much more bang for your buck in other hotels in the canaries.

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Bill, a expat front of house meeter greeter whose knowledge + affection for this hotel-and the island he has chosen as his home is infectious , we also had our first encounter with the bubbly receptionist Alina who we made a point of visiting on a daily basis simply for the joy of it As mentioned in other reviews yes the rooms are a little tired -and literally scuffed round the edges but the amazing housekeeping team ensure they are spotless (along with the rest of the hotel) The hotel grounds are stunning , and with the Robinson app the many events during the day are easy check on and to book (most are included -spa treatments and some craft events are at a charge) There a good gym , 3 pools + 2 bars The buffet meal options are fab with a wide range of options available ....there are 6 dining rooms , one restricted to over 16's, and one a open terrace -which is bookable on the app (although we at on it twice without having to) and yes in the main rooms most of the tables are sharing which is a lovely way to get to know other guests and teamsters (the hotel is their home and they eat with the guests) The evening events are fun , live bands , theatre shows , and a disco ...many themed with dress code suggestions listed on the app well in advance which the majority of people join in with from a Hawaii night to 90's neon !! and there’s a fun daily afternoon quiz Now to the thing most commented on ...yes it's a german company , it's primarily German guests, and the 'teamster' staff are nearly all german students (the service staff are locals) ...but guess what ....most of them speak English...And are more than happy to get to practice ! but yes-for those Brits hoping to make use of the childrens club, they may feel socially isolated ...or hopefully end the holiday with a new language skill , this is something that should be discussed but overall visiting a Robinson is a wonderful opportunity to get to practice german and the location language Our only issues were that our room (F block 305) was above the main route through the hotel-was noisy throughout the night , and that on a couple of occasions some of the staff were obviously sulking which is obviously not part of their job description . This unfortunately included the receptionist on duty when we left who seemed to have forgotten front of house training that last impressions matter to see clients off with a smile and warm comment And with this in mind , this is our second ‘Robinson’ experience …we although may not return to this one,we will look into others in the chain
