I walked in and the lobby appeared very clean and the front desk lady was very nice. Once we got to the room I noticed the lights were off but the TV and the heat was on. It appeared that someone had been hanging out in the room prior to us checking in. We also found a black sock on the floor beside the bed.I pulled down the sheets to check for bed bugs and the sheets were filthy. They were covered in ********** and had pizza sauce dried up on them. We went to the front desk to asked for them to be changed and they told us there was no housekeeping and we could change them. The room wasn't clean at all!

They are neighboring like three other hotels, and it was noisy from outside all night. Inside the hotel was great! Came in late at night and left early in the morning.

This property is always clean and the staff is great! If I could improve anything it would be to lengthen the hours of breakfast on a weekday!

I stayed Sun-Friday at the Fairfield in Elkhart. I worked from my room the whole week remotely. The desk and chair were very comfortable and the Wi-fi was reliable. My room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I have a bad back so I'm always nervous that the bed will be too soft but the bed was firm enough but not too firm. The sheets were nice as well. It was a little odd that I didn't get fresh towels until Wednesday and the towels could have been a little more substantial in quality and size. The main bathroom light was a little dim but the light over the tub was nice and bright. The shower pressure was satisfactory and the soaps and shampoos were nice. AND best of all there were a ton of restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Alex is the epitome of a hospitality manager. Very courteous on arrival and next morning even remembered my name which is a first in 50 years at hotels. ***le was really helpful at checkout and also has what it takes to be in that type of business. Cudos to both of them.
