The Funny Lion - El Nido

Everything was excellent! Customer service is top notch! We love how they call us by our names. They really took note of it! We are on our honeymoon and we were warmly welcomed with special greetings from the hotel. We’re so glad that we chose to stay here!

The Funny Lion El Nido is probably one of the best stays in El Nido, especially for couples. The room was nice and clean, and they gave us a small honeymoon surprise when we checked into our room. The breakfast was great and the staff were all very polite and accommodating. They helped us book our island hopping tours and always helped with a smile.

Our stay at Funny Lion was absolutely wonderful, and we can say with full confidence that this is a truly special place. The location is perfect, very convenient and comfortable, but what makes this hotel outstanding is the people. The staff are incredibly responsive, caring, and attentive. They genuinely care about their guests and even remember everyone by name, which makes you feel truly welcomed and valued from the very first day. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, cozy, and well maintained. Everything is done with great attention to detail. There is absolutely no need to stay directly on the beach because the hotel regularly provides a transfer to their own Papaya Beach at 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning, with return transfers at 14:00 or 16:00. It is very convenient and well organized. We highly recommend using the hotel’s airport transfer both to and from the airport. When our flight from El Nido was unexpectedly canceled, the team went above and beyond and helped us organize a transfer all the way to Puerto Princesa. This level of support and care is rare and priceless. We will definitely return with great pleasure. Funny Lion is not just a hotel, it is a place where you feel truly taken care of. The best! Highly recommended.

Great location and access to a private beach is priceless! Amazing staff that help with any tours or transport needs. Large and varying breakfast buffet among many other amenities. 10/10 recommend.

Great hotel for short breaks. Fantastic facilities, exceptional staff service and attention to detail. Rooms are lovely, and meticulously clean. Only downside, very noisy road to the front and side of the hotel, with cockerels cooing early in the mornings behind. Lovely restaurant, bar, swimming pool. The bar area desperately needs soundproofing from the extremely busy road right outside. This hotel has a private beach nearby which is a must visit. Had a fab five days here. .

This hotel is situated slightly back from the beach bars which are only a few minutes stroll away. Its on a busy road and traffic noise can be heard from the apartments that face the road, ear plugs are provided both traffic did die down late evening.  The rooms are spacious and clean with air-conditioning, they do not have an elevator but bags were taken up by the porters who gave a great service. The staff are very helpful and polite, go that extra step to help you, they have a nice bar and good seating area with some seating along side the swimming pool. Break fast was good with plenty of choice with Ann egg station to where you could order your desired omelet. Wifi was also qood with plenty of plugs down stairs in the lounge. The beds were comfy but made a clattering noise when changing sleeping position, its only my opinion but to me the pillows were too large, would preferred slimmer pillows. I would recommend this hotel if your going to stay in El Nido, great location not near any boom boom bars the are alive till the early morning, what our stay at this hotel special was the staff that made our stay most welcome and all being on first name terms.

Great hotel, with private island beach, the hotel is a bit small the rooms but otherwise, great.
