Prachtige locatie in een mooi gerenoveerd Art Nouveau-hotel. Mooie tuin en persoonlijk onthaal van de eigenaar. Junior-suite in de kelder, met buitenraampjes. Moderne inrichting met queen size bed en ruime badkamer met inloopdouche. Geen lawaai in de slaapkamer zodat ik goed uitgerust was voor de volgende werkdag.

The place is amazing, with beautiful artwork by Paul Cauchie and great renovation by the owners. They treated us with the warmest welcome and care ever, we got an interesting historical presentation of the place, and our room was beautifully decorated with comfortable bedding and nice showerplace. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of homemade things. It was a great experience and we definitely recommend it!

I chose this hotel because close to my next day meeting in town and I got really impressed since my arrival, when I got a very friendly welcome. Located inside what looks like an historical building, it offers just 10 rooms. The one I had was very big, with a fully equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom. Perfect temperature control inside the room, there's no risk to feel too cold or too hot. Big and very comfortable beds. Cleanliness very accurate in the room as well as in public areas. Buffet breakfast with high quality food, both sweet and savory. A park at the back of the building completes the picture. It's hard to find something that might "lower" my evaluation and actually I haven't found any. Definitely, a hotel to rebook next time I'm in the area and that I strongly suggest.

I did a visit as orthopedic surgeon to the Eeklo AZ Alma Hospital to know advanced surgical techniques of knee replacements using robotic technology. The Shamon Hotel was an exquisite place to stay in, with a beatiful building and an excellent service from the hosts. Beside of that, the train and the bus station to the hospital is just 4 minutes walking from. I think that the Shamon Hotel is the perfect place to be guested if you want to visit Eeklo, including professional medical visits to its cutting edge technology hospital. Very nice hotel, close to Ghent. The house and garden is superb and the breakfast very good. Rooms are very nice. Only drawback the surroundings which are not great but not an issue when you are in the hotel.

We enjoyed a great stay, we’re very warmly welcomed and the room was really good, recently renovated. The villa is beautiful, in jugendstil style. Breakfast is tasty and complete. Also very helpful advice regarding trips such as to Ghent or regarding possible hikes.

The owners are so friendly and run this hotel with passion. You can just feel very comfortable as a guest! There was even a gluten-free breakfast, very tasty! The large garden is very well-kept and quiet.

Thank you to the hosts for their warm welcome, their availability and their constant smile! Perfect stopover for work and leisure, I’m sure. Art nouveau style building with room names and not numbers! Very good breakfast to complete!

All in all a nice stay. The staff was always friendly and tried very hard to accommodate all wishes. The rooms are nice and cozy. The breakfast selection is good. Special requests were also taken into account. Only the music during breakfast could be a little faster. :-) I will definitely book the hotel again.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. We kregen een mooie kamer in een prachtige villa. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd in een mooie tuinkamer. Jammer dat onze kamer aan een nogal drukke weg lag, dus de keuze was tussen ramen open en geluid van het passerende verkeer of ramen dicht waardoor het benauwd werd in de kamer.

Super lekker ontbijt met veel zelfgemaakte producten en mooi gepresenteerd. Ook voor de gluten- en melkallergische mensen wordt er een zeer uitgebreide variatie aangeboden (mist dit op voorhand te vermelden). Mooi en gezellig kader, zeer vriendelijke bediening met een huiselijk gevoel. Ook te boeken enkel voor ontbijt. Aanrader met de familie.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Schönes altes Gebäude. Stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, nette Eigentümer, reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück. Ich war in einem Studio im Souterrain, Fenster zur Straße, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Parkplätze auch kein Problem.

Wij hadden en geweldig verblijf in hotel Shamon. Een hele hartelijke en gastvrije ontvangst, mooi ingerichte kamer en erg schoon. Het bed lag heerlijk. Een heerlijk ontbijt met zelfgemaakte yoghurt en jam. En ben echt verwend met het glutenvrije ontbijt.
