I stayed at Residence on Langley Park recently for a special occasion—our anniversary—and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
One of the main issues was misinformation regarding the security deposit. On Trip.com, it clearly states that the deposit can be paid in cash, but upon arrival, we were told by reception that only card payments were accepted. This inconsistency was frustrating and should be clarified to avoid confusion for future guests.
When we entered our room, there was a noticeable sour smell, which immediately gave the impression that it hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous guest. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, and this was quite disappointing.
I understand that special requests are not always guaranteed, but I had specifically mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and hoped for something a bit more thoughtful or special in the room. Unfortunately, there was nothing at all—it felt like our request was completely overlooked, and the stay was treated as just another standard booking.
Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, especially given the occasion. Improvements in communication, housekeeping, and guest experience would make a big difference.
