our tour group stayed here as we passed through on our way to (and from) Cape Cod. I was very pleased with our room. It was small, but super clean with comfortable beds. They also had a great shower. (No bath tub). Breakfast was not hot, although they did have breakfast sandwiches. There was yogurt, fruit, and other basics. It was plentiful. The staff was friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

While I don't usually write reviews for places where we've stayed, I feel that the LaQuinta Inn in Ronks, Pennsylvania deserves special consideration. Beginning with the parking lot which, after it was resurfaced last year, parking spaces were made wide enough to accommodate full sized pickup trucks or full sized utility vehicles. Inside, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are complete with toilet, shower/tub, and sink in the same closed off room. The counter with the sink has enough space for two people to lay out their toiletries, medicines, grooming appliances or other necessities. All of this still doesn't even include the staff. They are helpful, accommodating, and go the extra mile to help. I was having trouble with my Wyndham Rewards account and they helped me get my account straight. (Somehow two accounts had been established in my name.) All the staff that I have encountered have been welcoming, personable, and responsive. Going out one morining, I mentioned to the desk clerk the stopper in the sink was not working properly. They immediately called maintenance and by the time we returned, the problem was fixed. I give credit to the whole staff for making this a place to which I want to return--especially Gabriele and Tiffany who on several occasions have been particularly helpful. Whenever my wife and I return to Pennsylvania Dutch country, La Quinta is home away from home.

Upon arrival, btw 4:00 pm, the man at the front desk was abrupt and unfriendly, but then again I probably would be grumpy working in a dump like this place. No amenities whatsoever, great coffee 24 hours (best part of the stay), flipping noisy between the human ”animals” above us running and jumping from 11:00 p - 12:30 a, the noise from the trucks and buses all hours of the night, a nasty breakfast choice, dark dank stuffy rooms (although clean) and a stale odor the minute you walk into into the hotel (which reminded me of the Bates Motel). I guess my standards are different than the other reviewers, this is NOT a nice place to stay. The ony two decent staff were the housekeeper and maintenance. Front desk people shrugged off any complaints about the noise above us, they claimed they checked and didn't hear anything, well maybe you should have stepped into our room 211. This place reminded me of the movies where you see ”hourly rates” . It was for overnight only, never would I have stayed here for longer, I would have rather slept in my car or pitched a tent.

The hotel is relatively new, clean, refreshing, and crowded on weekends. The hotel faces the road, and it is best to live in the back room. There are more trucks on the road and it is noisy. Hotel facilities are simple but complete, there is a swimming pool, there are some game facilities in the lobby, very comfortable hotel!

Very good, have a chance to come again

I've made a number of short trips to this area, and this is by far the best hotel of any I have stayed in, for about the same price. It is clean, modern, quiet. There is a small but nice indoor swimming pool. Staff are very helpful. My only complaint: the continental breakfast was extremely limited--only a packaged pastry, instant oatmeal, juice, and coffee were available. Even though this is the time of Covid, it should be possible to offer at least a few other (and healthier) selections--perhaps some fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, toast or bagels. Hope the management can improve on this in the future.

Courtyard by Marriott Lancaster is one of the brand’s best based on the locations I have visited. It comes across as new though it opened in 2006 and was remodeled a couple of years ago. The public areas are spacious and include a new computer that actually works. The room was a good size and comfortable. The front desk employees were cordial and helpful. The common denominators throughout the property were its cleanliness and fresh feel. The breakfast had excellent variety and poor quality. While the city of Lancaster is a short ride away, the roads to Lancaster, Harrisburg and Hershey are immediately accessible.

This hotel will have the basics. If you are going to Dutch Wonderland, this is a really good option as you can walk to it across the street. Being a Gold member they upgraded my room during the busy Labor Day weekend which was much appreciated. The staff are helpful and nice. Breakfast is simple with most staples but not an extensive array. They do have some healthy options like yogurt, fruit, plain oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. There are options to keep a toddler content. There are a couple things that could be improved (breakfast tables and benches could be cleaner and upon checking into the room our shower was out of soap). You need to call down for any housekeeping issues which is fine by me but they should make sure the self dispenser soap and shampoo is full before someone checks in. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel and the location is perfect to explore things like Strasburg railroad and Kitchen Kettle Village. It’s also right next to outlet mall shopping. I would return for the location convenience alone.
