Small Luxury Hotels of the World - Breidenbacher Hof

The hotel is supposedly the most luxurious in Düsseldorf, and the rooms are very spacious. However, the interior design feels more like a business hotel than a classic European establishment. You need a key card to enter the lobby from downstairs. The pool water was incredibly cold; after a quick dip, I hurried back to my room for a hot bath. On the upside, the location is absolutely fantastic, right on Königsallee. There are plenty of supermarkets, shops, and restaurants nearby, and it's lively at night.

Everything was perfect. Very friendly service. The breakfast room and the service there were excellent.

Overall, it's pretty good.

I had requested a quiet room upon check-in and asked if I could extend my stay by one day. Upon entering the room, there was a considerable amount of noise coming from outside due to construction going on across the street. I wanted to cancel the extension, but the hotel management refused. It was outside noise, and they couldn't do anything about it. They said a room at the front would also generate a lot of street noise. So that was pointless. I consider this poor treatment.
