Super Unterkunft. Von A-Z hat alles geklappt. Eine tolle Unterkunft mit Kindern. Am Abend war es ab 22.00 uhr sehr ruhig im Hof und auch mit offenen Fenstern lässt es sich so gut schlafen. Das Frühstück war zum Geniessen in einem schönen Saal. Allgemein ist diese Jugendherberge wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Museum ist top und mit Kindern sehr gut machbar. Es gibt ein Rätselspass, basteln, Truhen öffnen, Schatzkisten und vieles mehr. Es lohnt sich dieses Museum zu besuchen. Diese Unterkunft ist nur zum Empfehlen

We did stay from Dec 31st, 2022 to Jan 1st, 2023 in two rooms on the third floor. Everything was clean and neat. Modern rooms with enough space and a large bath. Comfortable beds and all well maintained. Check-in and check-out were fast and all service personnel was very very friendly and helpful. On top free entrance to the Formula-1 museum and the large impressive Aquarium on the lower floor with restaurant. There is plenty of parking space too so altogether a great and relaxing stay. The location of the hotel is relatively remote. It takes about half an hour to get there from the city center by tram. The breakfast is included in the reservation. The quality of the breakfast is OK. It is a four-star hotel but there is no refrigerator in the room

PROS - Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds and reading lights. - Fast and easy route to the centre via the bus (free to guests!) - Black out blinds - Two bed apartment was very spacious - Laundry facilities (washer and dryer, 2 francs each) were really helpful, and clearly signposted - Parking including reasonably fast electric car charging - Concierge was available, helpful and very friendly. CONS - The air con was very slow even when turned up to the highest setting, and rooms were hot. Windows don’t open. - The breakfast was abysmal value. No fruit selection (just the usual bulk-bought fruit salad; it doesn’t cost much to put some apples and seasonal fruit in a bowl to choose from!). The scrambled eggs were rated inedible by the whole family. No baguette or whole loaves to slice, just large individual rolls and some white sliced processed bread.

The climatesystem still isn’t working. When we checked in, we weren’t told about the problems with the climate system, nor the time of the breakfast in the morning or the checkout time. She only asked if we brought a pet hamster when she saw the beauty case. Strange. When we opened the door, the room was very hot. Switching on the climatesystem, there was only noise but no cooling. When we complained about the climatesystem we were told that the system will be repaired tomorrow. On Sunday the rapairman doesn’t work!! We asked about some compensation, we were promised maybe a refund tomorrow, a free breakfast or something like that. But tomorrow there will be more information about the refund. The weather is very hot, no good staff in sight, it will be heavy night. Paid the room in advance. Big mistake….

The rooms in the homestay are large and clean, and the owner is very friendly. But there is a church near the hotel, this church will ring the bell every hour, even when it is sleeping in the early morning. . . . So the quality of sleep is not good.
