Travelodge Dumfries

Clean and tidy, staff helpful

Just enjoyed a 3 night stay at Travelodge Dumfries. It was a last minute decision to go to this hotel. I would like to thank the receptionist Maya for getting my room ready at such short notice. Later on Simon also helped a great deal. As usual I enjoyed my stay. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the hotel was quiet. I slept well each night. The only down side is that this hotel is in need of refurbishment. The roof is in a terrible state. Over the last few years I have stayed in most of the rooms on the ground floor and a lot of these rooms need repairs - some minor and some major. I'm sure that upstairs must have similar problems. I urge Travelodge bosses to refurbish this hotel. It is an important facility in the local area and deserves to be given every chance to be profitable.

Location was further out of town than i thaught atmosphere was not unpleasant rooms were adequit for price

Great location for a 1-2 night stay. Clean, tidy (inside and outside), pleasant staff members, and with everything you need close by. I booked online and got an excellent value deal for two rooms, which was also great. We popped into Dumfries (to the park beside the river) with my grandson, which is less than 10 mins away, and there was plenty to keep him occupied so a fine all round experience.

Friendly helpful staff but massive potholes into the car park needs sorting. I guess Greggs and Starbucks need to sort it as well

Room clean and spacious. No noise comfy bed Adam on front desk very helpful and friendly

Omg this room was filthy from bugs in my lights to cobwebs and dust, rubbish left on the floors, carpet had large black marks/stains on, pity there is nowhere to upload photos as I have some to prove my point.

Great location and base for our three night break around Dumfries, ideally located right on the A75 with easy access to everywhere. Friendly staff on arrival managed to get us two rooms together, the rooms were both spacious, clean, well decorated and most importantly at this time of year warm! with heating you could control yourself to suit. We booked the rooms a few months back and got them at a fabulous price

A bit out of town and approach to the Travelodge could do with a few pot holes filled in, however parking is easy, rooms are fresh, clean, quiet and perfectly functional for an overnight stay. Check in and out went smoothly and in the morning there is a Greggs and another convenience store right outside for breakfast before heading off.
