I have stayed at 4 or 5 hotels in my various trips to Ireland. I even stayed at a 5 star resort the last time I traveled here and I will say hands down the room at the Alex was by far the nicest room I have stayed in. It's not directly in the town center but it's just a 10 min walk away and one I didn't mind based on the quality of the room. My only wish was that it had a pool. There is a work out facility across the street that I never checked out so one might have been there. If I ever go back to Dublin I would definitely stay here again. They have a couple of restaurants near by both places were excellent one served the best fish in chips that I have ever had the other had a great Guinness beef pie.

Good location, walking distance from main attractions. Very close to the National Gallery and Trinity University.

The overall environment and room hygiene of this hotel are at most 3-star level, not to mention any boutique hotel. The attitude of the service staff is very good but they have no sense of service at all. Not a bad review. But the price doesn't match the hotel at all.

Outstanding hotel and great experience, staff was attentive to our needs from the moment we checked in. The room was lovely, one comment would be the room was a little dark so maybe some more lighting. The location was fabulous, off the main tourist beat but 5 mins walk away and Trinity College right behind.

We upgraded to the Executive King and we’re super happy we did so. The bed was amazing. We slept like babies. The amenities, the bathrobe and the Nespresso machine were, wonderful. we also had access to the executive lounge for light snacks, bottled water, and sodas, beer and wine, which was lovely after coming back to the hotel from a day of walking around Dublin. The staff members were all super nice. We really enjoyed our stay.
