Ibis Mall of The Emirates Dubai

Ibis Mall of The Emirates Dubai

Al Barsha Dubai|2.23km from Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Our stay at the Ibis was fine. This is our 130th hotel stay this year and among our least favorite experiences. First, it is very clean, so don’t worry about that. But a clean bed and room is all you can expect. Things we didn’t enjoy: -Breakfast is a chaotic cluster. No staff were seating guests. People were sprawled out across the Ibis and adjoining Novotel. It is difficult to find staff to clean off a table or provide new cutlery. The food is fine, but the coffee is horrible. - We were told the room included tea and coffee. When we checked in we notified the front desk we had no coffee and would like some. They told us someone would bring it, but it never arrived. The same thing happened the second day. The third day we asked cleaning staff if they have coffee. They told us they were out and only had decaf. They did provide decaf, but regular coffee should have been available. -The shower is extremely slippery. The shower drain is raised to prevent hair and product from clogging it. But that means people are standing in .5” of water the entire time they are showering. The smooth tiles are extremely slippery when covered in standing water. I’m a 36 year old agile, athletic person. I fell, hitting my knee and face on the tile. There are no grippy mats to reduce slipping. There are no handles to get up from in the shower. - After falling, I asked for a hand towel to wash my face. I was told “we don’t offer hand towels on THIS SIDE of the hotel. Only the Novotel side gets hand towels.” It’s very weird to make people feel lesser than others over hand towels. 🤷♀️ Other small weird stuff: - There are ZERO outlets by the bed. You have to charge all electronics, including your phone, across the room. - The faucet barely hangs over the sink. When you wash your hands, they are against the side of the bowl, and water will run out on the counter. It’s like the designer never used the sink. - They have chosen a strange press soap bottle. It breaks off from the wall daily. -Aside from soap, no basic toiletries are provided. (no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion.) Overall, this place is cheaper than others, but it still costs too much to have this many issues.

Just returned from another trip to DAM and once again it did not disappoint. I booked directly with the Jumeirah website this time, so thankfully no drama at checkout time this year. My previous reviews capture all that is good about this property. personally I don't go to DAM for the waterpark, however feedback from the kids was that it is looking very tired, that aside nothing much else to quibble. The front line staff at DAM are fantastic and that was the same again this year. from the staff taking care of the rooms, at the beach/poolside and all the restaurant staff. Special note to Mylene, Ashu and Neha at the Arboretum; we saw them every morning for breakfast for 2 weeks and some evenings when we went to the Arboretum for dinner. Neha; whether morning or evening, constantly smiling and never seemed to stop. Fantastic energy and enthusiasm for an extremely challenging job. Ashu who noticing that my wife was suffering from a cold offered and made her a hot drink with Ginger and Lemon at breakfast - it was unsolicited, he did not have to make the effort - however he did and these are the memories that make a stay special. I just hope DAM management recognise that it is the Neha', Mylene' and Ashu's that make their hotel special and they are rewarded for their amazing work.

I love this hotel, I come here every year because it’s magnificent! I like everything, from the marbles throughout the hotel to the fresh flowers everywhere, from the stunning ones in the lobby to the flowers in the room. The hotel is spotless, even the paths through the gardens. As the Jumeirah property is massive you can easily move around with free buggies or abras. The breakfast fits every taste, there are several cooks stations, fruits, oriental food, continental breakfast, Arabic and much more! Rooms are very spacious, with nice soft carpet, living area with sofa and armchair, a big tv, and a nice bathroom. If you can, book the ocean deluxe rooms, they worth every penny! Waking up in the morning, open the curtains and see the sea, the palms, the abras and the Burj al Arab is wonderful, the view is stunning! The rooms are cleaned twice a day, and I have to mention both the housekeeping manager (l’m sorry I don’t remember his name - rooms 613-614), he greeted us every time he met us asking if everything was ok and if we needed something, and Srinivas, the guy who tidied up our rooms during our stay at the hotel, he was always smiley, asked us several times if we were happy with his work or if we needed something more. Our room was always perfectly clean. Thank to all the staff for making our stay relaxing and special! I can’t wait to come back next year!

My stay in Mina a Salam was outstanding. The Hotel and everything around is fantastic. Beautiful newly firnished rooms. The best in the Hotel was the Service. Our roomcleaning service was one of the best we had. beginning from the vice manager Alam Meehbob who helped us with everything we need in the room, and then the best room girl of the hotel Pauline . She was a sunshine doing an excellent job in the morning and the evening. She has all the time a smile for the guest and take care for everything. Very ood instructed from her boss Alma Meehbob. Also always helping with a smile on the face was the boys on the beach, especally , Ibrahim and Charles. these two make the day easier and better on the beach. again thank you to all .
Jumeirah Al Naseem

We are very lucky to have stayed in many beautiful hotels in Dubai, and around the world, but Jumeirah Al Naseem is quite possibly our favourite hotel ever...! This year's stay excelled last years visit, the customer service seems to have jumped up another level in 12 months, from an already high bar! Particular shout outs have to go to the Butler team: Ashraf, Diego, Lee, Feroz, Usman, Zaheer and Zsofia (and my sincere apologies if I missed anyone out!). The team looked after us extremely attentively, made sure everything went smoothly, and were always on hand whether via WhatsApp or in person - a huge thanks from me and my family! I can only repeat my previous review in regards this hotel: fantastic room/suite, dining options were always plentiful and top standard; pool, beach, kids club, watersports, tennis pitches, buggy service, access to Wild Wadi were all huge contributors to an awesome holiday!
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Jumeirah Beach
A must-stay hotel in Dubai, Burj Al Arab is where you can experience what a seven-star hotel is inside. What’s the point of taking pictures outside, right? A room is 170 square meters. The metals seen in the bathroom are all 17K and 24K pure gold, and the toiletries are all Hermès. When booking a room, be sure to choose a sky room type, which is on a higher floor. Do not choose a luxury room type, which is on a low floor starting from the 2nd floor and has no view.

The perfect hotel I ever had stayed in my life. I feel a little bit disappointed water park has a few closed theme, especially I couldn't play Slide. Food was good, condition was great, people are nice and kind, and so clean, and private beach and swimming pool, you can see Burj Al Arab everywhere you go. Thank you! And see you again

More about Dubai

Introduction to Dubai: A Confluence of Traditions and Futurism

Located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, in the south west corner of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Known for its opulent architecture, luxury shopping and vibrant nightlife, Dubai offers an irresistible blend of traditional Arabic culture and futuristic innovation. This city is home to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and it boasts an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, the Palm Jumeirah!

Tips for Travelling to Dubai

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, serves as the primary gateway to the city. The Dubai Metro, taxis, and ride-hailing services like Uber are commonly used to navigate the city.

Visa policies vary depending on nationality, so travellers are advised to check the UAE embassy website in their respective countries. Credit cards are widely accepted and the official language is Arabic, but English is commonly used, especially in business and by the large expatriate population.

As for traditions, remember that the UAE is a Muslim country and visitors should dress modestly in public. Also, the consumption of alcohol is regulated and is typically only allowed within licensed venues.

Unforgettable Attractions in Dubai

Dubai's iconic skyline is dominated by architectural marvels like the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah. Shoppers will find their paradise in the Dubai Mall and the traditional Gold and Spice Souks. For a dose of culture, one can visit the Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Historic District or the stunning Jumeirah Mosque. The adventurous can explore the vast Arabian Desert on a safari.

Weather in Dubai and the Best Time to Visit

Dubai has a hot desert climate with extremely hot summers (June to September) with temperatures frequently reaching 41°C (105°F), and warm winters (December to March) averaging 24°C (75°F). The most comfortable time to visit is from November to April.

As for clothing, light, breathable fabrics are recommended due to the heat. However, it's also wise to carry a light jacket or shawl, as indoor areas can be heavily air-conditioned.

Selecting the Right Hotel in Dubai

Dubai's hotels are as varied and impressive as its skyline. To stay near main attractions, consider the Armani Hotel inside the Burj Khalifa.

For a food-centric stay, Pierchic offers gourmet dining and is located near various eateries.

For luxury accommodation, the Burj Al Arab is an iconic choice, while budget travellers can consider Rove Downtown, which offers great value.

Business travellers might appreciate the convenient location of Dusit Thani near the business district. Atlantis The Palm offers highly Instagrammable views and interiors. Near the airport, the Dubai International Hotel offers convenient and comfortable lodging.
