Facilities: The infrastructure is incredible, truly top-notch. Environment: The surroundings are amazing. Every day you can choose to travel by boat or buggy, and they arrive very quickly, which is a big plus. Service: Sometimes the attitude felt a bit off, and I'm not sure if it was because we are Chinese.

The hotel views are absolutely stunning! Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of the Burj Al Arab right from the window. The hotel facilities are luxurious and complete; every detail was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, and the beach was fantastic. Since our flight was late, we were able to relax in the hotel area even after checking out, and they even provided a dedicated area for us to freshen up and shower. It was truly an unforgettable holiday.

Facilities: Very complete. The butler arranged messages and happy hour for us. Hygiene: Very thorough. Service: Quite good, they responded to all our requests. There are many animals, mostly peacocks, and you can generally touch them.

The environment and facilities are top-notch, but the 24-hour butler service was just so-so. The happy hour from 5-7 PM was great, though. You have to take a shuttle to get to breakfast or the beach, which is less convenient than the Palace. I'd recommend the Palace over this one.

The room was very spacious, clean, and tidy. To get to and from restaurants, you need to take an Abra, just call for one. Waiting times can be a bit longer during peak hours, but it's generally quite quick otherwise. For check-out, you'll need to call for a buggy (shuttle bus). The Madinat Jumeirah complex has four different hotels all close to each other, each with its own unique style. The beaches and pools are fantastic and you'll never get enough of them! It's also very close to the Burj Al Arab. It's a great place for photos. The service could use some improvement; some of the staff were quite rude. Breakfast was very generous. Recommended.

Room Interior: It felt like a farmhouse inn in Yunnan. The hairdryer was a Dyson, but it was half-broken and barely usable. What's more, it was tied down with a string, as if they were afraid guests would steal it. I've stayed in better guesthouses in China that use Dyson dryers, and none of them treated guests with such distrust. It's ridiculous; guests who can afford nearly 10,000 RMB a night aren't going to covet your broken hairdryer! Hotel Garden Environment: Mediocre. It's like a basic model of a slightly better resort hotel in China, nothing about it is as 'amazing' as the room rate suggests. Restaurant: We pre-booked the buffet dinner. Before and during the meal, they repeatedly asked if we wanted drinks or water, without ever mentioning that the buffet only included food and no beverages. They served everyone a drink, including water, very 'attentively,' one per person. Then, after we finished eating, they told us all drinks, including the water, were chargeable, totaling 1600 RMB. They completely set a trap for guests. Truly a rip-off! (The champagne, drinks, fruit, and desserts in the public living room downstairs were free, and we didn't touch them, but once we went to the buffet restaurant, they became chargeable, and we were only told after eating.) Food: The dinner selection was slightly varied, but there was virtually nothing suitable for Chinese palates. Breakfast was even worse, far inferior to hotels that cost two or three thousand a night here. There was hardly anything to eat. Check-in Process: It took a full 50 minutes. The front desk staff kept typing on the keyboard; I have no idea what they were so busy with. Anyone without patience would have gone crazy on the spot. Check-out: A staff member came to the room to personally check if we had consumed anything from the mini-bar, and made sure we signed to confirm. As if afraid guests wouldn't be honest. Moreover, very few hotels nowadays take deposits upon check-in, yet they do, and it takes 30 working days to get it back! It's truly baffling that this hotel cares so much about the interest on such a small deposit. Overall, the stay was a terrible experience, with no service to speak of. The hotel environment and room rate are severely mismatched. This is the worst choice I have ever made.

The environment, facilities, and services were all excellent. The buggy service was very responsive. Families with young children should be aware that we were charged extra for our 5-year-old's breakfast, but not for the extra bed. This situation has never happened at other hotels, including other Jumeirah properties. Also, the breakfast was very mediocre and simply can't compare to Jumeirah in Abu Dhabi.

To all my friends, please, please, please think twice, thrice even, before booking this hotel!!! The room was actually pretty good. We were three people and didn't ask for an extra bed, planning to sleep on the sofa. But the hotel had already prepared an extra bed without any additional charge. Upon entering the room, we found one less slipper – it was like they put in effort but not completely. Honestly, up to this point, it wasn't a big deal. But here's the main issue! Two things made the experience extremely, extremely poor! Firstly, requesting items for the room, like slippers, took an incredibly long time. Once it was about 50 minutes, and the second time, 35 minutes! This kind of experience is really frustrating! Secondly, the front desk service was terrible. It took 45 minutes to check in on the day we arrived! And they didn't inform us that booking breakfast through the front desk and just showing up to eat had different prices! We assumed there was no difference and went to eat. As a result, on the day of checkout, they charged us 195 AED per person for breakfast! Ctrip listed it as 122.5 AED per person, so the price difference was huge!!!!! When we argued with them, the front desk insisted they had mentioned the price on the check-in day, which was very frustrating. Thankfully, Ctrip customer service resolved the issue! Thank you, Ctrip! Ctrip also helped us arrange a late checkout until 1 PM. However, the hotel called us a total of 5 times and visited the room once! The first call asked if we wanted a 1 PM checkout, the second confirmed we could check out at 1 PM, and the third said they were sending the bill. Then a staff member came with the bill. The breakfast charges weren't confirmed with us when we ate, nor did we sign for them, so I was furious and sent him away. Then two more calls came, which I didn't answer, I just couldn't deal with it anymore. The entire extra hour for late checkout was spent on the phone dealing with the bill!!!! One night, the air conditioning suddenly shut off and couldn't be turned back on! I called housekeeping three times, and no one answered!!!! Can you believe it!?!? Finally, I called the emergency number, and someone answered. About 30 minutes later, they called back to say it might be an issue with the outdoor unit, and then the AC finally started working! This was Dubai in the summer! You can't sleep without AC!!! In short, the experience was extremely poor!!!! Regarding happy hour, on our first day, we checked in at 7:10 PM, so we missed the 5:00 PM-7:00 PM happy hour, which I didn't think much of. The next day, we went to the beach. When the buggy dropped us off at our room, it was 6:57 PM. I asked for two cans of Coke. He was about to leave, and I told him it wasn't 7 PM yet. Only then did he reluctantly get me two Cokes from the back. In conclusion, during the off-season, the price of this hotel might be a bit lower, but the experience is absolutely terrible!!! Truly awful!!! The environment is indeed nice, but the service is a complete mess!!!! They can't even manage the most basic principle of consumer awareness for spending!!!!

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf has always been on my wishlist, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Every corner of the hotel offers a picturesque view, the breakfast spread is extensive, and the butler service was incredibly attentive. A truly fantastic experience!

Alright, let's start with the positives. The views were okay, and the room was quite spacious. Now, let's dive into the myriad of issues. My husband and I travel abroad at least three to five times a year, and we've stayed in countless good hotels. But Jumeirah was truly shocking. First off, even though it wasn't peak season in Dubai, every single step of our stay at Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf involved waiting. We waited to check in, waited for a boat or buggy back to our room, waited for breakfast, and even waited for coffee at breakfast (it arrived almost when I was finished eating). There was literally nothing you didn't have to wait for.😅 Is this really the reception and logistical capability of a luxury hotel? Secondly, upon checking in, we were told we'd been upgraded. However, the room had no lagoon view whatsoever. And to our astonishment, my husband and I discovered the room was clearly prepared for four people. Here’s why: a sofa bed and a crib were both set up, and there were four sets of slippers, toothbrushes, and other amenities. Even more alarming, there was a hotel information sheet on the desk with another guest's name on it. Plus, turndown service had already been done. My husband and I were extremely worried that the room had already been occupied by someone else, and turndown service usually doesn't involve changing the bedsheets. This meant we might have slept in the bed of a previous guest who had been moved! (Even scarier, my husband only realized this the next morning; I'd wondered why he'd showered again after already showering the night before…) So, we went to the guest relations manager to raise the issue. She explained that the room originally assigned to us had a leaking air conditioner, so this was a last-minute change. Okay, I can accept that reason, but I'm still upset about the inconvenience and anxiety this whole situation caused us. What made it even worse was the attitude of the hotel's supposed highest-ranking manager that day, the front desk manager – a gentleman in a white robe. When we suggested discussing a refund, he flatly stated it was “out of discussion” and told us to contact our booking platform to resolve it. He claimed the hotel didn't want us to wait too long at the front desk for check-in, which is why they made the spontaneous decision to change our room. If that were truly the case, the hotel should have informed us honestly instead of arbitrarily changing rooms. When I pointed out that they should have asked for our opinion and explained from the start, the gentleman in the white robe started rambling, saying everyone has different perspectives and stances, and the hotel was just doing what it thought was right. Again, the bottom line of running a hotel is respecting and understanding your customers, not making decisions for us as a matter of course. At this point, I, who hadn't been very angry initially, started getting emotional. Regarding our concerns about the hygiene issue of un-changed bedsheets, the gentleman in the white robe's explanation was astonishing: "We are a big group like Jumeirah; it's impossible for there to be hygiene issues or for us not to change bedsheets." His comprehension and logic were truly limited. Finally, regarding the hotel's hygiene and facilities, there were flies and many ants in the room, and hot water took ages to come out. I strongly advise everyone to run from this place. There are so many better hotels at the same price point, or even lower, that you could choose from.

After staying last year, I recommended booking a 2nd-floor beachfront villa in the first row. The view was expansive, and it was convenient to get to the beach. This year, I went again, and by chance (due to a full house, the hotel upgraded us to a suite, but we could only check in at night, and for our subsequent plans, we couldn't enjoy late check-out from the suite), I unexpectedly discovered that villas in the back rows also offer good value for money; you don't always need the top-tier option. However, for the back-row rooms, I still recommend the 2nd floor for the expansive view. On the 1st floor, with buggies passing by, privacy is always a bit compromised. Also, you can check a map or notes to see which villa/room you're getting. Rooms facing the inner canal are quite good, while those facing the lawn have a slightly less appealing view. A 60-square-meter room is very spacious for two people. I believe all 2nd-floor rooms come with a balcony. The bathroom is quite large, almost half the size of the room. The price for the most basic room without breakfast is only one-third of the sea-view suite. Plus, Wild Wadi Waterpark tickets are included (if you go early, you can get free large towels, but they run out later. No need to rent a locker if you don't have valuables). Breakfast is 250 RMB per person, half price for children. You can book with breakfast or add it on-site if you decide to go. Dining at the hotel is quite expensive. A bowl of plain rice is 80 RMB, and spring rolls at 150 RMB are just ridiculous. The hotel claims to have 20 restaurants, but honestly, there isn't much to eat. A taxi ride to the nearby Mall of the Emirates costs 100 RMB round trip, and there's a food court downstairs with burgers, pizza, and Chinese food. But this doesn't compensate for the expensive/limited hotel dining options. The breakfast in the main building is good; the egg chef is very skilled, making sunny-side-up eggs tender but not undercooked. Fruits and bread are plentiful, though Chinese-style options are limited to some steamed dim sum. The cleanliness and housekeeping of the room are impeccable. During this stay, the butler service improved; there were no more unanswered calls, and they were generally very enthusiastic. The buggies and abra boats usually arrived quickly. The only frustrating part was the local staff's math during checkout. We had one night upgraded to a suite, then for the next three nights, all upgrades and breakfast were canceled, and we paid separately for breakfast for 4 days (2 people for 2 days, 3 people for 2 days). The entire checkout process, the butler (the only one I had to complain about this time, a Caucasian person who seemed unenthusiastic), upon seeing I had an issue with the bill, actually said she couldn't handle it and told me to go to the front desk to check out. The front desk recalculated several times and finally found that one day's meal charges were incorrect, and one transaction was misallocated... it took 4 recalculations in total. Of course, the front desk ladies were very patient, and the gentleman at the front desk during check-in was also very patient. We arrived quite late, and he still explained the upgrade costs. After the first night's upgrade, he even arranged a late check-out for the room change the next day. Although he mistakenly upgraded us to a 1st-floor sea-facing suite instead of the room type I wanted, his attitude was very good, which prevented me from getting angry.

The best part of our Dubai trip was staying at Jumeirah Al Qasr; it completely exceeded expectations. Especially with the off-season pricing, it was definitely excellent value for money. My only regret is only staying for one day. The Wild Wadi Waterpark is fantastic and easily rivals Atlantis; for a family trip, I'd even say it's better. The entire resort complex of Jumeirah Al Qasr is interconnected by both land and waterways, so whether you prefer the buggy or an abra (boat), they're always readily available. The service is incredibly efficient and makes you feel right at home. You can find almost everything you need for a perfect vacation right within the hotel. Next time I'm in Dubai, I'll definitely stay longer. Highly recommended!
