Buraq Hotel by Gemstones

Buraq Hotel by Gemstones

Deira Dubai|0.17km from Al-Ahmadiya School
The hotel is between the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk. The train is a only a 5-10 minute walk but it depends on if you look at the shops on the way. The boats for dubai creek are about 3 minutes away and the stop for the Big Bus tourist bus is right next to it. The hotel reception speaks good english but western level customer service is not great... Just adequate. They answer all questions and do help when asked but they dont go the extra mile. The bell boys english is not good and they have no customer service at all. The room attendants and maintenance guys however were fantastic, bent over backwards to help out, gave excellent advice and customer service. The room was spacious and clean, with a king size bed, a small table with a pair of comfortable sofa type chairs and a small flat screen TV. Overall excellent for the price we paid but still had minor issues. The air conditioning control panel was broken and leaning to the side. The a/c would come and go but the room remained cool. The bathroom had a leak, I reported it and it wasnt fixed that day. Reported it the next day for the 2nd time and it was sort of fixed... It sprang a very slow drip which would not have been picked up straight away by maintenance but was noticeable overnight. The hotel's resteraunt was cheap and filling. For 15 dirham, you get a buffet breakfast with a variety of western and indian dishes. It wasnt 5 star but for what you pay it was EXCELLENT value and tasty enough to fill your stomach and go for 2nd and 3rd helpings. If I booked it when i was booking the room, it would have costed 42 dirhams (so just rock up and pay for it on the day). The pool was a nice size and you get gorgeous views of dubai. The gym was ok and enough to excercise but walking in dubai with the heat is more than enough excercise. On average I did about 20,000 steps per day, the best way to see dubai. The attractions are a little far, costing about 60 dirhams on average (dubai mall/burj khalifa, mall of emirates, dubai frame, etc) depending on traffic but if you buy a Big Bus Ticket online, you save on the ticket price and on some attractions the price is included. Would I stay in this hotel again if I returned to Dubai..... 100% I would. For around $60 per night, you would be hard pressed to find a better centrally located place in dubai. Cheap food, good people, hassle free check-in, close to public transport, dubai creek amd most importantly near the ”souks”. See the attached map to see the location and surroundings. ENJOY!

I went to that hotel with my 11 years son and wife we were all very satisfied with the accommodation, the staff was also very helpful, and it has the best location. The abra, metro station, and many good restaurants are nearby. Next time we will be in Dubai we will certainly choose Hafez Hotel again.

The following are the real pictures and videos taken by me for the second time I stayed at the hotel. I stayed in room 111 on the same day. 1. Hotel location: Di, convenient transportation, bus and subway can be reached. 2. The hotel's facilities look at the pictures themselves. 1. Look at the pictures of the bedding and linen. 2. There are no disposable slippers provided. 3. Room facilities: No hair dryer, but there is a refrigerator. 4. Hotel decoration: look at the picture for yourself. 5. Toilet: not dry and wet separation. 3. Hotel service staff: I personally feel very service-conscious, and I am quite willing during my stay. Fourth, the picture of the hotel matches the picture of the actual room.

The guy at the door is very helpful he was able to assist us weigh our bags and put them on the trolly for us! However they don’t assist you past the reception so if you have more than one bag and you’re alone good luck struggling. Also the reception don’t let food deliveries go to your room they are forced to call you and if you don’t answer they will force the delivery person to take the food away

More about Dubai

Introduction to Dubai: A Confluence of Traditions and Futurism

Located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, in the south west corner of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Known for its opulent architecture, luxury shopping and vibrant nightlife, Dubai offers an irresistible blend of traditional Arabic culture and futuristic innovation. This city is home to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and it boasts an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, the Palm Jumeirah!

Tips for Travelling to Dubai

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, serves as the primary gateway to the city. The Dubai Metro, taxis, and ride-hailing services like Uber are commonly used to navigate the city.

Visa policies vary depending on nationality, so travellers are advised to check the UAE embassy website in their respective countries. Credit cards are widely accepted and the official language is Arabic, but English is commonly used, especially in business and by the large expatriate population.

As for traditions, remember that the UAE is a Muslim country and visitors should dress modestly in public. Also, the consumption of alcohol is regulated and is typically only allowed within licensed venues.

Unforgettable Attractions in Dubai

Dubai's iconic skyline is dominated by architectural marvels like the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah. Shoppers will find their paradise in the Dubai Mall and the traditional Gold and Spice Souks. For a dose of culture, one can visit the Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Historic District or the stunning Jumeirah Mosque. The adventurous can explore the vast Arabian Desert on a safari.

Weather in Dubai and the Best Time to Visit

Dubai has a hot desert climate with extremely hot summers (June to September) with temperatures frequently reaching 41°C (105°F), and warm winters (December to March) averaging 24°C (75°F). The most comfortable time to visit is from November to April.

As for clothing, light, breathable fabrics are recommended due to the heat. However, it's also wise to carry a light jacket or shawl, as indoor areas can be heavily air-conditioned.

Selecting the Right Hotel in Dubai

Dubai's hotels are as varied and impressive as its skyline. To stay near main attractions, consider the Armani Hotel inside the Burj Khalifa.

For a food-centric stay, Pierchic offers gourmet dining and is located near various eateries.

For luxury accommodation, the Burj Al Arab is an iconic choice, while budget travellers can consider Rove Downtown, which offers great value.

Business travellers might appreciate the convenient location of Dusit Thani near the business district. Atlantis The Palm offers highly Instagrammable views and interiors. Near the airport, the Dubai International Hotel offers convenient and comfortable lodging.
