What a huge disappointment!! Went here last year and it was wonderful! What on earth has happened to the place!! Went with some friends for a Christmas night out. We had been seated at least half an hour and had not been offered a drink. We asked if we could order some and were told we had to go and get our own even though the place was virtually empty and they were just standing at the bar chatting! My friends starter was inedible. The main course consisted of dried up roast potatoes, one carrot and a stuffing ball so burnt it was black! Customer service was none existent and shocking, no atmosphere and we couldn’t wait to leave! Definitely would not recommend!!

We attended a Christmas lunch organised by a cancer support group and had a wonderful meal. The staff were excellent and friendly, being courteous but also discreet. The blade of beef was delicious, well beyond our expectations! A truly excellent place tucked away in Droitwich.

Last weekend we arranged afternoon tea for a family birthday at St Andrews Town Hotel. The event was a great success thanks in no small part to the hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the room had been set up just as we had asked and it looked lovely. The food was excellent and was presented very professionally. We would certainly return there again.

"Faulty Towers" comes to mind... firstly very dark carpark. Went with a family group, when we to book in the miserable , very rude male receptionist said we haven't paid, finally sorted it out. He comes across aggressive. Whilst waiting for the booking to be sorted, we chatted to an elderly couple who said the same and also a gentleman, all walked out in disgust. I had a single room, which was very cold especially the bathroom even though I the radiator on full. Had to sleep with socks on! The only positive about our one night stay was the lovely, polite bar staff who were a credit to the hotel. Would not stay there again.

Returned to the hotel today after having an amazing wedding there in March. Was so disappointed when we entered the hotel was no greeting from staff on the desk. There were two couples there who had pre booked a room but hotel had no record and were been spoken to terribly. Entering the bar we had a welcome from a friendly face but then another couple were complaining that the hotel didn't have their booking. We were there to assess the hotel for a wedding venue again for family. But due to what we witnessed won't be booking there. Such a shame the hotel has changed so much in 9 months not for the better.

My daughter & I stayed on a Saturday night in November. Comfortable bed, lovely hot, powerful shower & room as expected for the price. However, it was incredibly noisy at night. We had a very early start on the Sunday, but were kept awake until the early hours by other guests slamming doors, taking loudly & generally running riot. Not the place for a restful sleep I’m afraid. We missed breakfast as had to leave before it was served, so can’t comment on the food.

Disappointed, attended a 60th birthday party, went to the bar to order a drink. Asked for Pepsi Max, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke or Coke Zero and was told sorry only regular Pepsi. I asked what else on draft and was told lemonade, I then asked what sugar free soft drinks were available and was told Slimline Tonic. Later on I spoke to someone who had been told by the tall barman, that they had got Pepsi Max, (they shouldn’t have been drinking sugary drinks). I said to check as I was told no Pepsi Max, they then found out it was regular Pepsi Later I purchased a drink for a friend and the tall barman tried to over charge me and when queried he didn’t bother to apologise The hotel knew how many people were expected but the bar was lacking in experience and choice The ladies toilet’s were swimming with water and a bucket of bleach water and mop was left in the way. Presume it was foul water as using bleach, disabled toilet was consequently dirty and used by everyone

On arrival the hotel was very cold when checking in. We made our way to our hotel room and noticed towels and glass vases on the staircase, obviously a leak at some point. It was only when we looked up, above the arrangement on the stairs, that we noticed mushrooms, yes mushrooms, growing from the ceiling. When we entered our room we were surprised at how cold it was, no effort had been made to partially warm the room, knowing someone would be using it. We went downstairs for a drink in the bar, again this was just as cold, there were people sitting there with coats and jumpers on. During the evening the gents toilet had a water leak which was not dealt with, meaning the gents either had to use the disabled toilet or go to their bedroom bathroom. Also, later on in the evening, there was only one member of staff on duty to look after the bar, collect empty glasses, wash the dirty glasses and serve. Inevitably this is not achievable for one person meaning glasses were not collected or washed which meant having shorts in glasses that should contain lager or beer. To be fair to the young lad left on his own, he worked tirelessly without any help. The breakfast room was just as cold the following morning with people, once again, sitting with coats and jumpers on. The whole hotel needs a major overhaul.

Messed up booking. Made no effort to call, help or amend. The lady on reception who promised our booking would be resolved just straight out lied. They told us to come back later and the room would be sorted. Upon return, and with a new employee on reception, there was nothing available for us and it hadn’t been resolved at all. Staff very unprofessional. There was a number of us waiting at the bar to get a drink, to which one staff member said ‘I’m going now I’ve finished for the day’ and then left and the bar was just unattended and essentially unavailable to anyone. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
