Our stay at El-Muradi Hotel was arranged as part of our Sahara tour, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Despite the absence of an entertainment team, the hotel offered a calm and quiet atmosphere that I truly appreciated. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how few guests there were, creating a peaceful ambiance. It allowed for a tranquil experience that was perfect for our Sahara adventure. One of the highlights was the pool, which provided a refreshing break from the desert heat and was very well-maintained. The rooms had a charming Tunisian style, with traditional elements that added character. Most importantly, they were spotlessly clean. I was particularly captivated by the view right from our window. The scene was incredibly beautiful. There was one issue with our room’s door; it could be opened very easily, even without a key. It’s something the hotel should address for guests’ security. I wouldn’t recommend a long stay here, as there isn’t much to do for several days. However, it’s perfect for a night or two. The kitchen was impressively clean, and there was enough variety to choose whatever you like. In conclusion, El-Muradi is a peaceful stop for Sahara travelers. It provides a comfortable and culturally experience during your desert adventure.

The L ́Auberge is a very special accommodation with very much charm and is guided by Patrik and Sabine with much love. The old walls put one into another time and you feel almost like a berber ;). We had the room with the large terrace, from where you could enjoy the spectacular sunset over the desert with an aperitif. Then it went to dinner in the cave (in a convenient place), where the two really enthusiasted us with their great kitchen. Not Harrisa and Brik, but a great mix of European and domestic kitchen. Since we live in Tunisia, we know how limited you can buy and that there are very many products simply not available or are just sinfully expensive. Therefore, 11 of 10 stars for the great dinner. The rooms are clean and very comfortable furnished. Each room (the other two we could visit) tells her own story. Thanks to Sabine & Patrik her since great hosts and we will come back safely!
