I had a wonderful vacation, the room was so unique and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I could really recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an incredible experience while traveling or just wants to get away for a bit. Souq Al Wakra Hotel has definitely left an impression on me that I won't forget anytime soon. Tip: it’s nice booking here if it’s your bday or anniversary they’ll prepare a surprise for you. I’ve been staying at The Time Rako Hotel on and off for the last two years, I’ve always had a great experience with everything and everyone. The restaurant food was excellent quality and good value with professional service. The hotel had a well equipped gym and decent swimming pool. The reception staff were always professional and helpful to myself and colleagues (Indian). My last stay at the hotel was for a 6 month business trip! I’ve been in the oil and gas industry for 20 years and I can say with hand on heart this hotel is in my top 3 hotel’s I’ve stayed in. Well done team I’ll look forward to my next visit later on in the year. Thank you.

I had an 8 hour layover in Doha. I had booked the room in advance so I knew I would have it available when I arrived. For an airside hotel in particular, the Oryx is very comfortable and does exactly what most connecting travelers will need it to do. The room can be made completely dark. The bed is comfortable. The shower is a luxury huge rain shower with a full complement of toiletries. The TV displays the current flight board so you can see the status and gate for your flight any time you want. It was centrally located and should be convenient to any connection. Things that could be improved: Signage. There are no signs for this hotel in the terminal and the entrance is obscured. I had to ask for directions from a retail employee at one of the shops. Minibar: There is bottled water in the room but no mini-bar. A mini bar would be very useful for connecting travelers who just need a beverage and a snack and want to maximize sleep time without having to shop for food in the terminal or wait for room service.

Everyone made me feel really at home in my 4 days there. Irfan and Muhaidi and the others at Front Desk listened carefully for my requests and tried to help wherever they could and provided information for me around town. Gamal introduced me to the room and also took the initiative to guide me around the neighbourhood the next day. Staff at the Lounge also made watching World Cup matches there comfortable and enjoyable, sometimes coming over to make small talk about the football and was able to attend to our every need. For location, the hotel is within 5min walk to a Metro station and amenities like restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies. Room was great, but found deposits unfortunately at the kettle spout. I stayed here for five months for work. Hotel has pool and gym and my room had a kitchenette which is very handy. Staff and management were all very friendly and always helpful. Rooms very clean and serviced daily. Good restaurants nearby and easy to get to City and downtown.

The service is very slow. Should be improved first. should be humble Welcoming guests who come to use our services and serving with our whole heart. The important thing is that the service time should be faster. Most importantly, you should not ask customers about personal matters. You should have a lot of manners. The view from the room was really nice but I feel like I got scammed because I booked the room with early check-in in advance and when I arrived I was asked to pay for upgrade because they didn’t have the room. I paid because I was dead after the night flight. The furniture in the room is quite old, it has kitchen with no equipment, massive wardrobe like you come there for months :) The breakfast was horrible too, it’s easier to eat somewhere else.
