Terrible hotel with awful service. The staff completely disregard guests' needs and enforce arbitrary, unfair rules. Avoid this place at all costs; you'll be ripped off. Ctrip (Trip.com) is once again failing to act, leading to a truly dreadful experience that's far worse than other products. It's garbage.

Breakfast and dinner were pretty bad, everything else was as expected.

Swahili Beach Resort is a great all inclusive resort in Diani Beach in Kenya. It's perfect as a base for staying in the area, with everything you need included. The rooms are spacious, the staff are incredible (and I mean incredible - nothing is too much trouble for them, they are so polite and will really go to great lengths to help you). The only issue is that if the resort puts you in a room that is different to what you've booked (in our case, we booked a Standard room and we got given a Superior room), it can be difficult for them to find your reservation in their backend systems. So ensure you go in with printed proof of your reservation and payment, and eventually it will all get sorted. Otherwise, it's amazing, the Dawa drinks are top notch and the rooms are spacious and inviting.

Impeccable service and lovely place, truly perfect in every way

The hotel has a nice beach and a pleasant environment. The teppanyaki restaurant is quite popular and requires advance reservations. The breakfast is quite substantial. The sand on the beach is very fine, making it a great place for a vacation.

I like it very much. The environment and service are worth the price. I will come again on my next trip. I highly recommend it, especially sitting on the beach in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze and drinking wine. It will make you feel so comfortable. You must stay there! 😆

After the Safari, I took a train from Amboseli to Mombasa, and then took an Uber to Diani. Swahili can be said to be one of the best hotels in this area. It is mainly a private beach with 24-hour security patrols and is relatively quiet. Other hotels basically do not have private beaches, and there are not many beach chairs near the sea on the beach. This hotel has all of them. There are also restaurants and bars on the beach. The hotel has many activities, delicious breakfast, and large rooms. It is very suitable for comfortable rest after a tiring Safari. The hotel staff are also very hardworking and serious. They will clean the seaweed on the beach early in the morning. The hotel also has corresponding beach walking and sea activities. Strong security, there is a Carrefour within walking distance at the door, which is very good. Not far away, you can take an Uber to the famous Alibaba Cave Restaurant. It is a very good resting place, suitable for a person to rest comfortably. I will come again if I have the chance.

@风花雪月, Mombasa Diani Beach has many resorts, and Swahill is known as the best. Except for the interior details of the room, the overall Arabic decoration style is unique and beautiful. Kenyan Swahili culture and Arab culture occupy an important position. The hotel integrates the two cultural elements in the design. There are all kinds of gauze curtain beds scattered around the yard. Find time to sleep 😂 Breakfast and dinner are all included, and there are many flavor restaurants to choose from. The live band in the buffet restaurant is so good that I sat for two hours. Kenya's hotels, restaurants, drivers, and property service staff surprised me. They are well-trained, polite and thoughtful, with sincere, warm and sunny smiles, which makes us who are defensive and poker-faced in China now smile and say Jambo when we see people!

Very satisfied, great environment

long story. It suddenly rained heavily on the last night, and the whole room was covered with rainwater. All the things we put on the floor got wet, and the hair dryer was soaked in water within 1 centimeter. Then what did the hotel do? There are no measures except the innocuous sentence “I’m so sorry to hear that”. At our request, we were offered a 10% discount on in-store purchases???? To be honest, it would be better not to give this compensation at all. It’s just a few tens of yuan cheaper and still treated as a charity. Needless to say, the hotel environment is very beautiful, but the experience on the last night was really terrible. I will not choose it again.
