I don't know really from where I have to start..! I stayed in this hotel for few hours only after check in by evening 9 pm as I need to leave by morning 6 am to Dhaka airport. Me and my brother could not sleep whole night even for 5 mint, the dangerous Mosquitoes was around and biting us very badly. We was just struggling to kill them which was so embarrassing. We have called 3 times to inform Hotel reception , they send killing spray ( Aerosol) at the room but doesn't work at all. The room should be hassle free from the beginning before guest arrive as its nothing new for Dhaka, but not in Hotel Rooms..!! There are few things I observe which need to be fixed by management, doesn't matter it's 5 star OR 3 star hotel as.. 1. I have found lot of blood spot on the blanket and bed sheet even the bath towel which was really dirty. room slipper not provided 2.Room lights was not working (front of the dressing table mirror specially) 3. No hot water available for shower (Its very common facility in any Hotel) 4.There was no tissue box at the room (given after 4 hours and reminding twice) 5.Front desk staff should be available at all the time ( I wake them up at 6:15 am as they was sleeping covered with blanket like home near the sofa area in the middle of lobby which is first time seen in my life) 6. The staffs are not friendly and they should serve their guest positively with more details. No complains but all above feedback will help the management to refill the gaps for future service. I believe small things makes lot of difference.

I recently completed a two-week visit to Bangladesh and stayed at three different hotels. I will not only review them in detail but give an overview of my experience of budget hotels in Bangladesh as a tourist. Most of my thoughts, comments, and opinions on all three of these properties are the same so there will be some copying and pasting in these reviews. Tourists wishing to arrive in Bangladesh and receive a visa on arrival (VOA) are advised to have hotel bookings and Proof of Onward Travel (POOT). I made both hard and digital copies of all my bookings and they were checked at both the airline check-in counter and immigration in Dhaka. However, no one was interested in more than a few days of hotel bookings and I only presented hotel reservations for the first four nights. This is important for those of us who are plan-as-you-go travelers and don’t like to make bookings ahead of time. In the future, I will only book the first few nights and see how that goes. I ended up canceling several reservations (bookings) I made through Agoda because I changed my plans, and now, I have no doubt you can get a better price by simply walking in. On with the review of the hotel Pragati Inn: This hotel is close to the airport and was recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my room was extremely noisy because of the local road traffic. It is also a bit too far from Old Dhaka if you intend on exploring the most interesting parts of the city. This is a typical Asian-style budget hotel: a bit dated and could use some maintenance and a coat of paint. Having said that, the room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, and the air-conditioning and hot water were excellent. A complimentary breakfast was included in the price, but I did not try it. The wi-fi was so-so, in all three hotels I stayed at. I thought that the price I paid through Agoda ($45.75 USD) was a bit high for what I got. The owner of the hotel confirmed that if I were to book directly with the hotel, I could get a room for roughly half the price. I would only return here if I needed to be close to the airport.

Good to have a quick rest in a good hotel before/after the journey (5 min away from the airport). Adv to the foreigners: 1. Don't take the room facing the road.. very noisy during day/night with honking everytime non stop. 2. Try to avoid fresh juice if you know yr stomach can't take it, otherwise you will suffer from poisoning. The rest are acceptable as per the rest of other country's Best Western. Great view towards the airport on the rooftop while enjoying the BBQ dinner. Small gym and a massage center on the top floor. Transport to the airport - UsD9 Dinner buffet doesn't come with a hot drink, even with a cofee/tea (only for b'fast)..

Generally speaking, it is very close to the airport and the N3 highway, so it is easy to find. There is a big supermarket nearby for shopping, and the breakfast is rich. The facilities may look old due to the design style, unlike the more than 200 hotels in China. The price of more than 400 is indeed a bit expensive.

They tried to give me smaller room which is not same as what I booked .. And I was super shocked at first when I saw room .. Later I went to the reception to complaint and they try to ask me more to pay but I disagree. At last they offer little bigger which is bit similar to the one what I’ve booked . Other than this experience in the first day other all good !

I needed a hotel before our morning flight and found prices on the internet and hoping for a better rate, I called the hotel directly and the manager said the hotel was fuly booked and the rooms I am seeing on the internet were not available and that he would give alternative rooms. The 2 rooms he offered, he said were better and even said that he would accomodate ur third guest in one of the rooms. The suite that was given was average but clearly dilapidated and as for the double room we were given - that was a hell hole! We had to share with our baby and the room was infested with mosquitos and the noise from the traffic was constant and the the windows did not seem to keep the noise out. When we wne up for breakfast we quickly realised that the hotel was not full at all as there was only one other person in the restuarant. In addition, I got ripped off by the hotel as they charged me equivalent of £93 for both of the rooms which was in excess of advertisd prices on the internet. Avoid hotel at all costs and book via internet to get best price.

This hotel was booked last minute by me, we had to stay near the airport so we can leave for London the next day. The hotel offers a airport transfer service which is amazing, no need to worry about getting a transfer or getting ripped off at the airport. Since we had many luggage with us, they gave us x2 huge cars which I was really happy about. Hotel is really close to the airport so you'll never miss your flight. The hotel decor is really nice and clean. The view form the top floors are amazing. The breakfast was great with many options. There are good food places to eat just down the road. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I will definitely be back and send my family too again. Thank you for the memories.
