GGuest UserThe hotel's exterior looks very simple, but once inside, you'll find the interior is quite stylish. Everything is designed with children in mind, making it a truly family-friendly hotel. The common areas are very spacious; all the children can play together without feeling crowded, and there are plenty of places for parents to sit, chat, read, or relax. The service is the most commendable aspect. With 15 rooms, there are 5 staff members plus an outdoor instructor, and several cleaning ladies. Even when the hotel is full, they are still able to respond promptly to all needs. They are also very child-friendly. The hotel also has several dogs and cats, making it feel very homey.

Choosing the right accommodation truly elevated our Yangshuo trip, and the Yangshuo Xishi Jinshe (Shili Gallery Yulong River Store) is a divine hotel nestled amidst the mountains and rivers. Our experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish – I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Before I dive into the review, I have to praise the service. It was thoughtful, warm, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly cherished. 🥰
The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, right by the Qinglong Bridge on the Yulong River. From the large floor-to-ceiling window next to our bed, we had direct views of the continuous karst peaks and the gently flowing Yulong River, with bamboo rafts slowly drifting by our window. Every glance offered a picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scene. The design is simple yet sophisticated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. The super-large floor-to-ceiling windows, courtyard lawn, and the rooftop 'sky mirror' all provided perfect photo opportunities. The environment is serene and peaceful, completely away from the hustle and bustle, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
I must commend the service again; it was exceptionally thoughtful, offering full butler-style service. Every front desk staff member was enthusiastic and meticulous, always ready to assist with any questions. The attention to detail was impeccable, making the entire experience relaxing and heartwarming. We initially booked for only two nights, planning to try another hotel for a different view, but we were so touched by the service that we extended our stay for another two nights. The service was truly exceptional.
The downstairs restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh and authentic. The Guilin rice noodles, beer fish, and braised chicken 🐓 were all delicious, and the eggplant 🍆 and green beans were incredibly fragrant. We had dinner there four times in a row, and each meal was satisfying and enjoyable; our whole family loved the food.
The hotel's infinity pool offers direct views of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Our children spent several afternoons playing there. The area around the pool is comfortable and well-equipped, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the scenery while the kids have fun.
It was a truly healing and immersive experience amidst the mountains and rivers. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all top-notch. Whether for a relaxing getaway or a family trip, this is definitely a treasure choice for a stay in Yangshuo!

GGuest UserI absolutely adored the little animals at the hotel! I originally booked the Banyan Tree, but I really didn't like its decor style, so I spontaneously switched to Jiu Rang, and it was a HUGE, huge surprise!!! I feel like the service is in the style of a Japanese hotel – polite, accommodating, but still giving guests a certain sense of privacy and space, which is so important. I haven't stayed in a more satisfying hotel at a similar price point in China.
I only stayed in Yangshuo for a short time, just five nights at Jiu Rang, but I could feel their utmost effort to make guests comfortable. I think only small-scale hotels (with fewer rooms) can achieve this level of service.
First, the fresh flowers. I didn't pay much attention to the flowers for the first three days, and when I finally noticed them, they were a bit wilted. After I mentioned it to the butler, they sent over a big bouquet of fresh flowers (P3). And here's something detail-oriented people will definitely love! For the afternoon tea, I usually left the strawberry leaves aside. The second time I had afternoon tea, the strawberry leaves had already been removed (P2)! You can tell they pay attention and improve! Also, the mini-bar and snacks are replenished daily. I only drank two fruit drinks from the mini-bar, and when they restocked, they replaced the flavors I had finished and added new ones. Kudos to the housekeeping auntie!
Ordering takeout was a little inconvenient; some restaurants didn't deliver, and those that did would leave it at the hotel entrance. Luckily, the butler would help bring it to my room door.
The cleanliness was absolutely superb. They never touched any of my belongings (the previous luxury brand hotel I stayed at would fold my clothes, which I found quite intrusive… this place didn't do that).
The last picture shows the view from the room – there's a heart-shaped mountain, haha, though it wasn't very clear due to the fog. You can usually spot it though.
I think it's perfect for people who value privacy and quiet. In short, if I ever come back to Yangshuo, I will only choose this hotel☺️💕

GGuest UserTraveling with two dogs limits accommodation options. We chose this unique guesthouse, a renovated century-old house, which has a wonderful historical feel. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into it.
While preserving the original character of the house, they've created various convenient and comfortable spaces and facilities. I've seen some previous guest reviews that seem to scrutinize every corner with a magnifying glass, which I think is unnecessary. Experiencing authentic local life is part of traveling, so it's best to relax and enjoy it, especially since the owners have done such a great job.
We arrived quite late on the first day, so we decided to eat directly at the guesthouse restaurant. The beer fish, stuffed snails with meat, and steamed old pumpkin were all delightful surprises. We also ordered a bottle of the guesthouse's own brand of beer, which was excellent.
The ladies at the guesthouse were very friendly and responsive to all our needs, and they were especially kind to our dogs. Overall, the service was exceptional.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! Xinglong Pier is right outside, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Xiatang Pier, making it super convenient for bamboo rafting. The room is spacious, with simple yet tasteful decor, and the view from the back is beautiful. The front desk staff and restaurant team were all very warm and attentive. I hope to have the chance to stay for a few more days next time.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Alila Yangshuo (formerly known as Yangshuo Sugar House Hotel). It is a very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings and a unique atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and always helpful throughout our stay. The location was great — convenient yet still scenic and relaxing.
The food was also excellent, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcome drink and the tea break arrangement in the room. The hotel offers many complimentary and chargeable activities, which gave us plenty of things to enjoy during our stay. We were especially impressed by the photographer — very professional and did a great job capturing memorable moments for us.
A special mention to the hotel team for being very considerate with checkout arrangements. They automatically offered us a late checkout to better match our train schedule, which made our departure much more comfortable and stress-free.
Two areas for improvement: the coffee with milk didn’t seem to be heated properly (we experienced a similar issue at other hotels too, so it may be related to the type of coffee machines commonly used here). Also, the hotel is next to a busy road — while the room’s sound insulation is fairly good, traffic noise could still be disturbing for light sleepers like my wife.
Overall, it was still a great experience, and we would gladly return.

GGuest UserThis hotel is great, I'll definitely come back. I stayed in Yangshuo for 5 days this time and chose Jing Su. When I booked, the pictures looked decent, but staying there, I found it even more comfortable than the photos suggested. It's located on Shenshan Road, about a seven or eight-minute walk from West Street. The upside is how quiet it is; no loud bars disturbing you at night. The downside? There isn't one. There's a local noodle shop right across the street where you can grab a bowl of rice noodles and a braised egg in the morning – perfect. It's also a short bike ride to Ten-Mile Gallery and Yulong River, just about fifteen minutes. I booked the Jing Yan King Room, and when I arrived, I wanted a mountain view, so they upgraded me to a King Suite, which was more than enough space for one person. It has white walls and geometric lines – clean and not overly flashy. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide great light, so you don't need to turn on lights during the day. The bed's firmness was just right, and the pillows came in two heights; I fell asleep instantly, no insomnia. The air conditioning was powerful; it was still a bit cool at night in Yangshuo in April, so the heating was perfect. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and the water pressure is strong, making for a refreshing shower. The toiletries aren't cheap, they're quite decent. There's also a drying rack, which is convenient for hanging clothes after washing. The front desk staff were all very friendly. They helped me carry my luggage when checking in and offered suggestions for things to do. When I needed a bottle of water late at night, it was delivered in minutes. After checking out, I stored my luggage and picked it up later without any fuss. The fact that the front desk staff, earning 3000 yuan a month, are so dedicated shows that the management is on point. For a hundred-something yuan a night, this level of accommodation is totally worth it in my opinion. It's much more practical than those overly flashy influencer hotels. Also, breakfast isn't included, but the noodle shop across the street has you covered for 10 yuan, so it's not an issue. If you're visiting Yangshuo and want a clean, quiet, and hassle-free stay, you can't go wrong with Jing Su. The location is good, the rooms are comfortable, the service is reliable – it has everything you need without any unnecessary frills. I'll definitely bring my friends here next time.

The shower angle is facing upwards so needs to be handheld in order to be used. The Yujian SPA is worth mentioning.. good service and not expensive.

XXianglachenpiI was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a garden room. The room was clean and tidy. The village retains both traditional elements and modern design. I loved the pool and restaurant. The pool is shaded, so I'm not afraid of the sun. The surrounding banana leaves create a particularly elegant backdrop. Just taking a dip felt like a relaxing vacation. The restaurant's food was above and beyond what you'd find at a typical B&B. The outdoor movie was also very enjoyable. The service was excellent. Every staff member greeted me warmly and offered their services proactively. I'd definitely stay there again.
