Moganshan Pinhouwu Hotel

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was very warm and the view was amazing. So much light in the room. Location was good, and Didi can take you anywhere from there. And many hiking trails start there as well. The hosts were friendly, and breakfast was good. Suitable for vegetarians as well. Last thing, the room was exactly as pictured while booking.

Well kept and managed hotel close to hiking tracks through bamboo coated mountains. Absolutely no complaints about the hotel itself, great value, friendly staff and good food. The breakfast was suitable for vegetarians, which worked out great for us. The one thing to be careful of is that the village this hotel is in doesn't have a great amount of public transport to get you to other places other than a very time consuming bus. If your Chinese is good enough, you might be able to convince a taxi to come get you, but they'll ask for a bit more due to the location. However, if you just want to relax, hike and explore the local mountains (there is a dam you 'can' swim in, and a waterfall within 3km), it's a great place.

Beautiful location, clean rooms with great view! The terrace is awesome for breakfast outside or a cold beer outside after a tough hiking day. Lovely atmosphere!

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The room modern and nice and the pool was nice and refreshing after a hike. The owner could not speak english, but everything worked out well, check-in was quick and he sent us the restaurant menu translated in english. A minus point with the room, our room was not really isolated, so it was quite loud because we could hear your neighbours, people on the floor and the cleaning lady in the early morning. The breakfast and the food was really really good! We tried the spring rolls, tofu salad, eggplant, green beans and everything was really good. Breakfast was also really nice, buffet style with a good variety and they also had instant coffee. The service and friendliness of the staff can be improved, one of the cooking ladies was nice but the other one was a but grumpy. A group of western people also wanted to dine in the restaurant were sent away, although the restaurant was not busy at all. If you have a car, you can park it at the free parking lot and then it is a 3-5 min walk uphill to the hotel. Overall the view from the room and the the price for the value was good, even though next time a would book a hotel directly surrounded by nature.
