Cat in Yubeng Snow Mountain View Guesthouse

Such a thoughtful homestay! 🥺 After an eight-hour hike, we arrived and were greeted with a welcome package and a finisher's medal. In the evening, there were fruits and a late-night snack. 🥺 The information provided by the homestay was incredibly detailed and helpful! They gave us all the contact details and information we could possibly need, making it very easy to book meals. The hostess was great to communicate with and responded quickly. I already thought their rooms had the best views before I even arrived, and they truly are stunning. Plus, there's a viewing platform on the rooftop. Highly recommended!!

The facilities are excellent and the service is great. The scenery is beautiful and the cats are adorable too.

The room was clean and well-equipped. Although I was exhausted on the first day getting into the village, and the guesthouse is located at the highest point of Upper Yubeng Village, the view from the room instantly made it all worthwhile! The guesthouse has 5 or 6 adorable cats, and there's a mini-mart and a dining hall where you can get all your meals, so you really don't lack anything! All in all, my three-night stay was very enjoyable!

The hotel has a stunning view, and I even got to see the 'golden mountain' (Mount Everest bathed in the sunrise glow). After a long day of hiking, it was wonderful to come back to complimentary hot ginger tea. Highly recommend!

Cleanliness: Still very neat and clean. Environment: The guesthouse is located at the very top of the eastern side of Upper Yubeng. If you don't want to commute by pickup truck or climb the 'Despair Slope', I recommend taking the shortcut directly to Upper Yubeng after the second supply point. The scenery is excellent. The guesthouse has a fantastic view, offering panoramic vistas of three snow-capped mountains. The decor is ******* style, leaning towards minimalist. Service: The ladies working here were incredibly responsive to all our requests. Upon check-in, we received custom medals and a supply kit. In the evenings, there was ginger tea, fruit, and late-night snacks. After three days of exhausting hikes, returning to the guesthouse, sitting by the fire, drinking ginger tea, and petting the cats brought immense happiness. I highly recommend their milk tea and coffee; their beauty is the least impressive thing about them – they're just that delicious. Facilities: The hot water temperature was a bit tricky to adjust. As someone sensitive to heat, the water felt too hot after a while. Lastly, the guesthouse also provides disposable towels and bath towels, so my quick-dry towel went completely unused. Guests might consider this to lighten their backpacks.

Location: Situated in Upper Yubeng, offering unparalleled views of the Meili Snow Mountain and Lower Yubeng right from the window. There's also an open-air balcony upstairs with an incredible vista! Amenities: The underfloor heating kept the room perfectly warm, and the hot water for showers was instant, so no getting cold there! The bed also had an electric blanket. Service: The front desk staff was incredibly patient, guiding me via video calls when I got lost a few times. They offer free breakfast and late-night dinner, which is a huge plus as you don't have to wander around Yubeng village looking for restaurants! They even gave a small commemorative medal, which was a nice touch and made it feel special!

The room view was absolutely stunning, directly facing Mount Mincim and Wuguan Peak. The ladies running the place were incredibly thoughtful and gave us free medals, supply packs, fruit, and even a packed lunch for the next day. They also have adorable, friendly cats, especially 'Chouchou' (Smelly), the little black one – we loved it! Overall, an amazing guesthouse experience!

Directly facing the snowy mountains, this is the guesthouse with the best view of the snowy mountains for upper Yubeng. The service is excellent.
