Chimes Spa Retreat
4.4/533 Reviews
Thumbs up We had a very relaxing couple of nights at the Chimes Spa Retreat. We arrived after 5 pm and information left for us at reception very detailed. Our Chimes Platter and bottle of sparkling wine (on ice) was waiting for us in our room. Room large and spacious, very clean with a lovely view of the garden from the balcony. Day Spa treatments wonderful - staff friendly and engaging. Dining room and reception welcoming Continental breakfast lovely. Thumbs down 1. Information sent prior to our arrival was not acted upon eg massages and facial booked for Saturday afternoon but not recorded in the system. 2. Request for no flour products - still received bread and crackers with our platters and noodles with our lunch. 3. As a part of our order when booking we requested a $70 champagne lunch for 2 people - this was not organised and we were offered a refund however we opted for a later lunch at 1.30 pm to allow time for staff to prepare a meal (noodles and teriyaki chicken) 4. The $70 lunch value is questionable. 5. Disappointing to see that local wines were not provided with the Chimes Platter and Champagne lunch. 6. When ”please clean my room' tag hung to remove Friday night platter dishes and dirty glasses - they were not removed, and were still in our room when we left on Sunday.
Karri Aura
4.4/511 Reviews
Early November my wife and I had 4 great nights in a Studio Suite at Kari at Karri Aura above Denmark W.A. I called ahead to make the booking personally and was given clear verbal and later email conformation and directions, and I still got confused by Kari Aura being close to Kari Mia with its own separate entrance with huge signs clearly marked 100 meters away, (darr). The instructions to enter the room were clear and easy to follow on arrival to find a spacious clean room with a very comfortable king bed, with a lounge, dining table & chairs good size bathroom. It was a cool weekend, and we had the place warm in minutes on our return from walks and drives to watch the sunsets from our room or the grounds. It was nice to have a choice of coffees and teas, quality towels & soap. I can’t comment on the caravan park with authority but they sites looked tidy and clean with en-suites and a great location for family and oldies. The location high on a hill with views in almost every direction was our highlight, Denmark has some great sights from forest to coast Karri Aura dose have an peaceful aura.
31 on The Terrace
4.1/530 Reviews
My significant other and I had the pleasesure of spending a few nights at 31 On The Terrace a few years ago (December 2019) and I still recall the experience since the proprietors are just about the sweetest people in town. So hat's off to Rob and Debbie if they're still running the place. We booked the smallest room there, and it was still great. Side note: Remember to bring a car if you visit Denmark, since most attractions are far away. We forgot and the proprietor took pity on us and gave us a lift to the local brewery (also worth a visit).
