Location: Adjacent to the Dongnayu Bay Scenic Area. Don't be fooled by the unassuming entrance in the village; the balcony view, as shown in the picture, is a delightful surprise. The real surprise is yet to come. Besides Dongnayu Scenic Area, nearby attractions include the Heishui River Wetland Park, Datun, Shangli Village, and Mingshi Pastoral Area, among others, offering both paid and free admission.
🚩 Guesthouse Service: The owner is a shrewd local villager who owns his own island within the scenic area—a hidden ”island owner.” He raises free-range chickens on the island, and when guests request them, he takes them aboard his bamboo raft to catch them. The chickens are delicious, freshly caught and served. Various cooking methods are available, with charcoal grilling being particularly excellent. Fishing is also possible on the island, and the owner is expected to develop a full range of recreational facilities.
🚩 Guesthouse Facilities: The interior features modern, minimalist decor, is clean and tidy, and our room had a bathtub. There are over ten rooms in total; four have windows facing the main entrance, while the rest offer views of the Heishui River. Ideal for guests to enjoy the view from their windows and say hi to guests on the boats [laughing emoji]. The rooftop of the guesthouse offers tea and scenic views, and you can even fly your drone. Fishing is available by the river, and there's an outdoor swimming pool when the weather is warm.
🚩The downsides are that it's almost always fully booked during peak season and holidays, making reservations difficult. Secondly, the guesthouse doesn't have an elevator; it's only three and a half floors, with the deluxe view rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. Finally, the wall panels are thin, resulting in poor sound insulation; children running and jumping around on the stairs, along with the sounds of doors slamming and firecrackers, are downright terrifying.
