The environment is great, the hotel staff are enthusiastic, and the breakfast is plentiful. There's also a swimming pool which my child loved. The room is cozy and comfortable, and ordering takeout is very convenient. The room has smart sensor controls, and getting around by taxi is easy.

The hotel's facilities, ambiance, and service were all excellent, truly splendid. The only downside was on the afternoon of July 9th, when we returned to the hotel. The hallway and our room smelled strongly of something burnt, which made my family feel very uncomfortable and cough a lot. Fearing a hidden fire hazard, I quickly called the front desk to inquire. They informed me that a guest had set a trash can on fire, but it had already been dealt with. We asked for an air purifier, but none were available, so we had to air out the room by opening the windows. My family coughed for a long time, and it even triggered my chronic bronchitis. This was the only unpleasant experience of our trip.

The cleanliness and service rating goes to Aunt Jin on the tenth floor. Aunt Jin is incredibly responsible and would ask us every day if we needed anything. Seeing that we had children, she proactively offered kids' toiletries, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. One day, we came back after going out to find Aunt Jin had prepared lime juice for us, which was truly heartwarming. However, the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant really need some serious training. On the day we checked in, because we had two children, I casually asked if we could get an upgrade. I wasn't trying to be difficult, and we would have been fine if an upgrade wasn't possible, as we had originally booked a YunYa Twin Room. But the front desk staff had a very unpleasant expression. If you're unable to do something, you can just say so directly, instead of telling us we'd been upgraded to a Family Room, only for me to check on Trip.com and see that all Family Rooms are above the 20th floor, and we were still given a YunYa Twin Room. What's the point? It made us feel really uncomfortable. The breakfast hostess was the same. Every day, she'd stop us, saying we only had two breakfasts. I paid the extra on the first day, but then every single day! We had breakfast for 5 days, and every day she'd stop us and say we only had two breakfasts! The handover between departments and staff is terrible. The breakfast area, too – breakfast ends at 10:30 AM, but before 10 AM, there was no cold milk left. After I informed them, they said they'd restock, but they never did, telling me to go to the Wyndham next door to get some… Sigh, in short, having stayed in so many hotels, these are genuinely first-time experiences for me.

Everyone, avoid this place at all costs!! The light on the vanity mirror in the room was electrified, and the hotel completely disregarded our safety, doing absolutely nothing about it! Here's what happened: On July 6th, at precisely 6:14 AM, the XiaoDu voice assistant, the TV, and all the lights in the room inexplicably turned on. When my friend got up to turn off the lights, they were shocked by the electrified vanity mirror, feeling a complete numbness in their right hand. We reported this issue to the lobby manager, whose first reaction was incredibly dismissive: 'It's fine, we've bought accident insurance for all our guests. If you have any physical issues, you can go to the hospital, and the insurance will cover it.' Not a single apology was offered! We requested a waiver for that night's room charge. The manager said they needed to apply for it and then never reappeared. We were left waiting in the hotel lobby for 40 minutes, feeling humiliated and angry, so we went back to our room and called the police. Only then did the hotel send maintenance staff to check the room, repeatedly trying to convince us it might just be static electricity and not a live circuit, treating us like ******. Although the maintenance staff found no live current during their inspection, the fact that it happened in the morning was undeniable. The police officer suggested we all go to the police station to sort things out. At this point, two more waves of staff arrived, all completely unaware of the guest being shocked by a lamp in the room. They arrived and immediately pulled the police officer aside to question them privately. By this time, two hours had passed since we first communicated with the hotel. The lobby manager claimed they had been escalating the issue, but it was clear the hotel management was either completely clueless or simply didn't care – it was a blatant disregard for human life! Even the police officer couldn't stand it and criticized the hotel's inaction. Despite this, even with police mediation, the hotel offered no compensation or apology. After spending five grueling hours shuttling between the hotel, hospital, and police station, we dejectedly returned to our room to pack and check out. As we left, the police officer meaningfully told us that they had dealt with disputes at Yungang Hotel many times before, and it was always the same. They advised us not to waste our time with them and not to let it spoil our trip. We booked this hotel for its 'coal boss' lavish decor, only to be completely bullied by their power. So much for 'unity and harmony for all under heaven'! What a joke!

Check-in was inefficient, and some people even cut in line. The breakfast was incredibly rich, with plenty of prawns. Fenglin Pavilion is located on the east side of the first floor. The downstairs bath and swimming services were just okay. I asked the front desk to show me a child's swimsuit, and they were extremely reluctant. The one they brought wasn't even the same model as the one displayed in the window, and the quality was clearly inferior to the fabric shown in the display. When I asked about it, they rudely said there were no other sizes. Although the hotel is luxurious, the location is average and the service is mediocre. I probably won't be staying here again.

Facilities: The overall decor style is luxurious and very unique. The room is well-equipped with a luggage and wardrobe area, a wet and dry bathroom, a bathtub, and a lighted makeup mirror. Breakfast: Excellent, great value for money. Location: It's directly opposite the government center, making transportation convenient. It takes about 20 minutes by taxi to get to the Old Town.

The room was very clean and excellent. The 1.5-meter bed can comfortably sleep one adult and one child. There are two 1.5-meter beds, which means it can accommodate four people, and the breakfast also includes four servings, which were very plentiful.

Facilities: Okay Cleanliness: Fair Ambiance: Fair Service: Poor I booked a family room, and it was clearly stated to be on floors 20-21. I also left a note requesting a high floor, but they gave me the 12th floor. I brought this up to the front desk, but there was no response whatsoever. How can this be? With such service attitude, seriously... I'm giving a bad review.

Yungang Hotel stands alongside Wyndham Hotel, sharing the same lobby and breakfast area like twin sisters. The hotel boasts a moderate location, with an ecological park adjacent to a small river on its west side, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The hotel's service is standardized, attentive, and meticulous. The staff on the 28th floor are busy yet enthusiastic – hats off to them. The hotel's interior decor is elegant and grand, but the surrounding design is exceptionally peculiar. All the roads around are paved with uneven stones, making walking uncomfortable and, even worse, making it difficult to pull luggage into the hotel.

The room was incredibly spacious, and the family room was very comfortable with two 1.5-meter beds, perfect for a good night's rest. There was even a bathtub in the room, which the kids absolutely loved. The breakfast area had a fantastic ambiance, and they even served steak in the morning!

The hotel boasts luxurious decor and is exceptionally clean, complete with bathing facilities and a swimming pool. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, and the dining area is hygienic. My stay far exceeded my expectations. If I visit Datong again, I will definitely choose to stay here.

A very satisfying stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were warm and attentive. Staying at Datong Yungang Hotel really added to my trip to Datong. I hope to have the chance to stay here again.

They upgraded my room to a Cloud View King Room, which was really comfortable. The location is excellent, close to all the attractions. The room had great floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides with fantastic views. You could even see both the sunrise and sunset!

Couldn't find a table at breakfast. After wandering around, I finally found a spot to put my plate and personal belongings. When I came back with my food, a strange man with absolutely no sense of boundaries was already sitting at my seat.
