Beautiful place, great location!

Perfect little place, inside the ancient city. Owners are great. You can ask them for help for getting to attractions. Would recommend 100% !

Very thin walls: hard to sleep with noise. Not too dirty but not very clean. Ok location within ancient city. Friendly staff.

This hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

Decent little place with a nice patio. The room was nonsmoker but I guess it got its share of smoke from the adjoining common room. The shower was nice and new but the walls could use some dusting. Walking distance to shopping street

The room was perfect. Warm and clean. Shower works perfectly. Staff very helpful. Very interesting building. A little far from the centre.

Quiet and conveniently located

It is a courtyard in the ancient city. The environment is clean and hygienic! The bed and pillow are very comfortable! The boss is very enthusiastic! The location is easy to find and convenient to go anywhere! The lights are turned off early at night, and the shops in the entire ancient city close early. The gate of the courtyard is still open, so you can just go in directly. There is a beautiful kitten in the yard! I will stay here again next time I come to play!

The room was very clean, with plenty of drinking water, good quality disposable utensils, and very comfortable layout. The boss was very considerate, seeing that we were with our children. My husband felt uncomfortable in the middle of the night and went to the emergency room. The boss contacted me early the next morning and asked if there was anything he could help with. He was worried that I, a foreigner, would need help in an emergency. I was very touched. The transportation was very convenient, just next to Chaoyangmen, and it took ten minutes to walk to Gulou East Street. The ancient city wall was right outside the gate. I felt comfortable and at ease when I was away from home. I was satisfied and touched.

The location is very good, the area is also OK, the B&B is very nice at night, you can also see the city wall, the owner is very good, you can also see kittens randomly when you get up in the morning. Like

I chose this hotel blindly when I came to Datong. The location of the hotel is easy to find. If you take a taxi into the south city and get off, it is easy to find. The room shows that it can accommodate four people, and there are exactly four of us. The hotel directly provided toiletries for three people, two beds, and the quilt in the loft was too small, so I asked the boss for a small quilt. The quilt was the kind of summer quilt. Fortunately, there was air conditioning in the room, otherwise I would not be able to sleep at night when the temperature dropped below minus degrees.

This hotel is economical, the environment is elegant and clean, the boss is very considerate, and parking is easy at the door! I give it a full score

The hotel is located in the ancient city near the South Gate, and the small courtyard is quaint. The owner and service staff are very enthusiastic, the room is very clean, and the area is not large. It would be better if a small side table was added!
