Couldn't believe they asked to see the bottom of my friends shoes before he was aloud in as they thought they were muddy !!. However the room was lovely. Food was good as was the bar and service. Shame the welcome let them down.

Lovely family run B&B, everyone was so friendly and attentive nothing was to much trouble, food was excellent and good value.
Would recommend and We will be staying again next time we are in the are.

We had a very clean, comfortable room with decent beds. The room did overlook the Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road so there was a little traffic noise. We were personally greeted and showed to our room, a good welcome. After arrival, we enjoyed drinks in a lively bar, where there was a good selection of beers/ciders. We didn’t have an evening meal but the traditional pub menu seemed well received amongst those who did. Our breakfast was excellent. Served to order, prompt, hot and tasty. I think this is a very good value bed and breakfast stop.

Highly recommend - we booked last min for two nights on a holiday break close to Salcombe etc…. very friendly staff, evening meals were fresh home cooked and high quality “delicious”. Breakfasts were yet another delight lots of choices and the staff adapted to our dietary needs. This is a peaceful location. Thanks for the stay and the attentive service.

Tried reinstate a cancelled booking that was all paid for spoke to a man called John who confirmed a room was still available promised me a phone call back which never happened. Rang back totally unhelpful even thou a room was still available £133 down the drain and not the slightest bit of interest from the Globe inn. Took my payment and not a bit interested in my situation basically tough you cancelled we got your money we can let your room out again. Cheers

Very tired and dated decor and furniture (eg old-fashioned carpets in bar, 70s pine in bedroom, dark tables/chairs in breakfast room). Poor value for money - expected more than small double bed and tinned mushrooms (breakfast) for £130. No leaflets or info about local area provided. Overall very disappointed. Owner is obviously extremely exhausted and jaded. Didn’t even ask whether we’d enjoyed our stay when we checked out. Shame as Inn is in lovely location.

Service fair, staff friendly. Food average pub grub, but tasty. Didn't appreciate having to pay £1 extra when we asked for sweet potato instead of chips with one of our dishes. Have eaten here twice during our week in Devon and spent over £100 on food and drinks.

We were lucky to have booked Creekside a very well appointed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property on Frogmore Creek through Sykes, which accommodated dogs in a secure garden, it was stunning. Across the bridge there was a lovely shop that did homemade dishes, coffee and gifts. A little further on we came to The Globe Inn run by Linda & John. The food was upmarket pub grub, the pub was clean, staff very welcoming and reasonable priced, the service was excellent and the menu very appetising and dogs were wellcome. It is also a hotel for those who want to be pampered . Well worth a visit
